He was blocking the lane prior to the ball being there. Interference needs to be clearly defined because it has been called many different ways.

He can be if he’s fielding the ball. He was. Then he blocked the line to the plate but he had the ball in his glove then.

I don't care what the ruling is. In baseball, that should be an out.

Baserunning wasn’t textbook, but by holding up, it allowed Curiel to get to 3rd. Not a big problem

It needs to be clearly eliminated. Its a ridiculous rule, especially at home. 100 years of blocking the plate being in the fabric of the game and we unravel it

In the end it didn't matter much. If he didn't go, would have been thrown out at 1st. 1st and 3rd instead of 2nd and 3rd

NSU was taking an out and we gave it to them at home.

I hope so. Curiel was on 2nd.

It was terrible base running.

No it is a big problem when we don’t score this run. This team is not good and making terrible errors/base running decisions.

Milam, Curiel, Stanny, and Brown are just about the only players on this team of LSU caliber at the moment. The rest are major liabilities or arnt fully there yet as freshmen.

If he breaks on contact, they don’t even throw home. The SS first thought about it when he saw the runner stopped halfway to home.
