I would. I would stomp his arse until he was out and I knew he wasnt getting up. This isnt boxing. Hell even the UFC says its ok to kick him when he is down.

All this gentlemen shite is a joke. Fighing is dirty by nature. Win anyway you can. Its all about survival. I'm not going to walk away just so he can hit me in the back of the head or even worse shoot me! No, he wlll be knocked the frick out before I turn my back on him and walk away.

I have just seen way too many bar fights working a Club LaVella and other spots across the Gulf Coast an if you think there are rules to follow, you will be the one that gets fricked up in the end. Just being honest man. Its a bar/street fight. If you dont finish it, they will. Fact!

Dude, they just got arrested/suspended yesterday. People are going to fricking talk about it. This is hardly the dumbest fricking topic that this board has beat to death.

Go fishing or something.

The bar fight isn't the issue. JJ going Landon Donovan on a defenseless person's face is the issue.

and you know this is fact because you were there...right. STFU kid.

And the LSU Football family is emotionally hit by this situation. WHether anybody likes JJ or not, JJ was going to be our leader this year on offene.
Now Lee and/or Mett just need to step it up - Period.

Will Lowery being a part time bouncer come into play, these are usually big tough guys, who can protect themselves when they get into fights. According to his arrest report he is 6'1 and 215 pounds. Students need to boycott the bars he is a part-time employee of until he comes clean.

when you kick the shite out of someone and fracture vertebrae what do you expect? His life will go on after the civil suit and he pays a judgement of about $40k

Thank you. Do they honestly think this marine that's been kicked out of HS, stalks females, etc wouldn't kick JJ or a football player if he was on the ground. Don't act like MARINES are good citizens when we have some in jail for murders and beatings in this country.

If I kicked someone in the FACE I promise you it'd do waaaaaaaaay more damage than what the kick did to the marine. Hell my punch would do more damage. I'm laughing at this kick to the face or head crap. Get that shite outta here. It must have been a soft tap.

On a side note, i agree with you on making sure he's knocked the frick out. You never know what someone have concealed on them. Turn ya back and you can get shot, stabbed, etc. What kind of fights have these people been into. Go talk to some people that have been in a fight, then decided to stop fighting, how they get cut up because they wanted to play nice.

The didn't arrest him for the bar fight. Kicking someone in the face while they're down and defenseless wasn't part of the fight.

When it really comes down to it, this may be the only reason that makes sense. Kicking someone who is prone and submissive...in the head.

But then again, there is the testimony and the witnesses who in this case are partisan and I still keep scratching my head.

I thought it was the DA and the police who determined that there was enough evidence to arrest??

The DA in this case has 6 months to decide if they want to prosecute.

Do you know how the guy sustained the vertebral fractures?
Was he kicked too?
Shoved back into a car bumper?

Detail that out for us if you can.

Too much contradiction in testimony to get a jury to decide beyond a reasonable doubt.

DA Hillar Moore was quoted as saying he is going to present the case to a grand jury rather than prosecute it via his own decision, which is his right as district attorney.

That tells me Moore is going to see that the players are not indicted and the charges will be dropped due to insufficient or conflicting evidence.

Moore can accomplish that without it appearing he went easy on LSU football players. "It was the grand jury's decision, not mine."

Most people don't know that at one time before he as elected DA Hillar Moore was the private defense attorney LSU used when any athlete had legal problems. Moore was also the Chairman of the LSU Baseball Coaches Committee for about 6 years until he was elected DA. He is VERY close to LSU athletics.

BRPD will come off looking like a bunch of Barney Fifes in Mayberry before this is over.

Why is JJ's life screwed up?

If convicted of a felony, he can't get a TWIC card. If he doesn't make it to/in the NFL, I can almost assure you he would most likely move back home to Destrehan and work for Shell Norco. No TWIC card, that plan goes out the window. And with as much unemployment as there is right now, the selection process is very in depth. A lot of jobs I applied for did background checks and when I interviewed, almost every single one of them asked if I had any felonies.

And then let's approach the qb aspect. It sure wouldn't have hurt his chances to play a senior season with LSU.

The really sad thing is that in the heat of the moment, none of this stuff was processed through his brain. I would be lying if I said I never got in trouble and didn't make mistakes like that.

Now, if he gets off with a misdemeanor he can still do the Shell Norco idea and chalk all of this up as one major life learning lesson - like I had to.

We all get a turn.

If the DNA on his shoes matches the person who was kicked, he's toast.

When you get actual facts, you can make that decision. As of now, you are just throwing crap against the wall.

Sorry, I'm not buying it.
No way BRPD can improve it's reputation that much in so little time.
