It's worth noting, or perhaps it isn't, that of Lowery and Jordan Jefferson, Jefferson's not the one with a record.

Bar has video of Lowery thrown out of the bar harrasing someone, doesn't show any players following him out or gathering together in the bar to conspire to attack him. Lowery was pumped for a fight, he would have fought anyone in his way.

Jefferson was at the time on the LSU Football team, Lowery appears to have mislead his marine status, if he did indeed say he was home on leave.

BRPD said early in the investigation that the bar did not have video or did any of the businesses near by or for that matter they implied there was no video of the scene. All of a sudde video outside appears and they still have not asked for the video inside the bar.

Based on the current evidence Grand Jury will throw this out based on not enough to support the accused and his witnesses testimony.

Plus once the cell phone records are gotten for Lowery and his group it is all over. The fat lady will sing

In my best Lee Corso voice, "Not so fast my friend!"

He could have stepped in blood at the scene! Blood on shoe is not 100% proof he kicked said person!

No jury will convict him on these bs charges.

The only question to be answered under the charge is was he kicked in the face. A none biased jury could easily convict both. They could also not convict. My personal belief is that the final outcome will be in civil court and JJ & Jonns loose. Sorry, actions have consequences.

Which make you wonder why the Police would go ahead and try to ruin someone's life.

When are people going to get it in their heads that this is not the fault of the police.First, the police did not violate curfew or tradition(if that is the excuse you want to use),get in a fight at Shady's Bar or get charged with second degree battery. The players involved have no one to blame but themselves. It was their choices that have placed them in the situation of possibly facing some serious charges. The players who stayed in their apartments and followed the rules are not in trouble with law enforcement.Quit trying to find an escapegoat.Again, it was the actions of the individuals in this incident that have put them in a position to ruin their lives.Hopefully, it can all work out and their lives will not be ruined.People have to be wise and give thought to their choices because choices have consequences.Lay off of the police and put the blame where it rightly lies.

Do you realize how illiterate the above 'statement' makes you appear to be? If you're younger than 7 years old, I understand......

If convicted of a felony, he can't get a TWIC card. If he doesn't make it to/in the NFL, I can almost assure you he would most likely move back home to Destrehan and work for Shell Norco. No TWIC card, that plan goes out the window. And with as much unemployment as there is right now, the selection process is very in depth. A lot of jobs I applied for did background checks and when I interviewed, almost every single one of them asked if I had any felonies.

hahahahahahahahaha
this is an instant classic!!!

Thats easy. It was a bar/street fight and the face was open for a kick.

Seems pretty standard and simple to me...

I don't know why people care so much about the Marine (Lowery) that got beat up.

The real issue here, to me, is the truck driver that got beat up.

Will it be this simple if next time it's LSU's starting QB on the end of that kick and he misses half the season?

It's not really worth noting, but thanks for doing int anyway and helping to fuel the feeble minded in their attempts to irrationalize this.

Hmm - why? could it possibly have gotten there because JJ touched him and then took his shoes off using his hands? Or could it have gotten on his shoes because the guy fell into JJ? Or could it have gotten on his shoes when the guy hit the ground and JJ walked in the same area leaving?

I don't know that it matters who got beat up. On the legal side, people on this board are showing some real ignorance on both sides, and trying to justify shite they know nothing about (model citizen, blah blah blah.)

No one knows if indeed JJ is a model citizen as athletes usually get some extra leeway in many situations, and no one should care about the "marine'" past.

i think there is plenty of evidence that JJ should be guilty of his crimes. I imagine his snake oil salesmen of his new attorney will make a plea and put this to bed. this is the same attorney that represented teachers who slept with their students at Starkey academy.

in a case where witness credibility matters, this is very relevant. If this case goes to trial, the character of both will be front and center. You're way off on this one, Ice.
That wasn't the issue. I responded to this:

High profile BS.

JJ comes from a good family and is not a thug.
This is irrelevant to whether or not he committed a crime. Whether there is sufficient proof to convict, or whether a jury will convict, are different questions.

That kid's life was improved by sleeping with Jennifer, imo. Victimless crime.

Do you really think the DA will bring charges against JJ if there wasn't a strong likelihood of a conviction or at least a plea?

I know it is disappointing to LSU fans but if JJ did kick a guy in the head in the manner described, he deserves jail time.
