yeah, I got a little bummed at all the overreaction of the past week, but it's all settling down now. I am not trying to say the potential charges are not worthy of some legal action but it's not enough to ruin someones life over. I have been in a few of these type of altercations and things that happen are not always your intentions.

I trust Miles here and think he will do what is right for the team, JJ and the situation. Unfortunately some people will still not be happy but they seem to be hellbent on being miserable regardless of what happens.

That's a pretty bold statement to make when you don't have a clue of how much and how damning of evidence the police have. For all we know, some of the players interviewed may have testified against JJ. The cops might have clear video of went down. There are three other accuser's stories that we haven't even heard yet.

Unless you're basing that claim solely on the fact of who JJ is and who plays for.

Papamac...
I've been wondering about that aspect of the fight. We don't know, and I'm just speculating, but what if Lowery was down once and got back up, or was trying some sort of MMA/UFC tactic?

I know in general, you wouldn't kick a man when he's down unless it was necessary. Again, I'm just guessing here.

My wife thinks it's possible JJ had a "Ralphie moment" (from the movie A Christmas Story). All the abuse he's taken just overwhelmed him in the moment.

This is true, but if there is damning evidence I am sure it will be worked out long before any trial is held.

Didn't the guy call him a N*****? If he did he deserved to have his face kicked in.

Remember a couple a years ago when someone called Rolando McLain that at a party and he kicked his arse? Saban said the guy used a word that he shouldn't have used and he deserved to get his arse whipped.

I would use the N word excuse if I were JJ, it works like a champ.

Why is JJ's life screwed up? He was never going to be in the NFL and he can still get a college degree I think you guys are over reacting

Where is your cave?
There is more to life than the NFL doofus.
If he is found not guilty a certain percentage of people will always think he got away with something.
Do you actually believe that it will all go away?
Do you believe that no matter what the result his reputation is not permanently damaged?
Seriously are you really this fu cking dumb?

what I don't understand is why these clubs don't spend the $15 an hour to have an off-duty cop on site...seems that would prevent probably half the stuff that happens

Its more like $25-30/hourly for an off-duty cop (detail)

A friend mine in La. told me that the guy who got kicked in the head is still in the hospital. He also told me that there is a rumor floating around that the guy who was kicked is experiencing some swelling of the brain. Has anyone on here heard of this. God I hope that it is just a rumor because if it isn't, the one who kicked could be looking at some serious charges.

And Johns. He is paying the same price as JJ right now. I don't want to forget what he has on the line as well.

After interviewing the players, the cops stated that no one heard any racial slurs.

Very true.

Did you hear anything about why nothing, so far, has happened to Landry and Davenport? Don't get me wrong, I don't want to see them get into any trouble at all.

Just wondering if you had heard anything.

Has anyone actually thought about the fact that JJ may have been studying the Secret Play Book and that this guy was working for another SEC school and he was trying to take the secret playbook?

The problem LSU may be having is trying to get JJ out of trouble without actually admitting to having a secret playbook. They may have to seal the records in this case to protect LSU's entire offense.

Whew...going to need some good lawyerin here.

JJs taking the wrap for the real "kicker". street code... snitches get stitches.

It'll get pleaded down to simple battery, but if he snitches on the real kicker they will probably both catch felony charges.

to JJ for keeping his mouth shut
