No matter what happens Thursday, LSU should consider leaving the SEC over this.

Being kicked out would of course force the issue. But if the vote doesn’t pass, or even happen, the program should still begin looking into its options.

The only thing that would change my mind on this would be if Sankey is removed. And even then, still feels like the ship has sailed.

Committing suicide over this would be completely irrational-emotional.

It's SEC or devolution of our status.

The Big10 won't take us, and there is no other scenario where we keep the revenue and prestige necessary to remain an elite program.

I am talking about developing plans to exit the SEC at some point, if indeed you can make it make sense.

I do not buy that the B1G would not accept LSU. Under the right circumstances, it would make sense for them to do it in today’s environment.

I will agree that is the only scenario that would make sense. Independent is not an option. and any other conference will result in significant economic loss.

LSU is a big cog in the SEC. Let's keep it that way. LSU is not an AAU school so the Big is out

I believe this fear is unjustified. Sometimes confronting an unsavory situation is the only way through. Nest not to run and hide.

If the Playoff gets the go ahead for a 24 team playoff, then conferences will be a thing of the past.

It doesn't make sense. That's the point.

We don't meet their academic standards

We are also a pariah. You think the Big10 wants a school that will go to a hometown state court to avoid rules of the Big10 they don't like? The Big10 doesn't want to deal with that.

Ignoring the fact that they have been, in the past, they're about to get back in.

LSU is a long ways away from AAU status.

I just can’t help but to wonder where all these SEC schools (according to SEC rant )if they were this mad at us last week at this time?

I mean, I get it if you’re Om… we’ve hated each other from the get-go, obviously with the LK deal just makes it worse, but the rest of these schools really???

I don’t want an SEC without the schools that are in there right now. I cannot like them, but that doesn’t mean I want them kicked out of the league..

I do not agree that exploring options to exit the SEC is running and hiding. In fact, I believe it is the exact opposite.

If the vote doesn’t go through, LSU has the leverage. The conference actually should not want LSU out, our viewership is probably highest in the conference at the moment.

No they aren’t. There haven’t been any updates on their status in a couple of years. The AAU also doesn’t usually allow members back in

Same page on that. I don’t think they hate the votes but who knows. Kiffin calling nfl players and encouraging them to sue probably really pissed some people off.

Sankey as commissioner obviously has influence, but he appears to be operating as the other presidents tell him.

Tennessee
Georgia
Alabama

Those three obviously want LSU out or severely punished and collectively they hold a great deal of influence in the conference (with Ole Miss yipping like a beat chihuahua from under the coffee table in agreement).

LSU controls how much it is willing to tolerate from the SEC.

Didn't the SEC "clarify" the rule AFTER the court ruling?

Also, what about Mississippi and their ruling?

Once again, this is selective enforcement by the SEC.

Let's hope the leaders at LSU are smarter than the emotional fans we have on the rant.

The big 10 has already contacted us genius.
You think we’re swinging without a net?
ACC would jump at us.
Big 12 we’d be the savior. We’d run the league.
New conferences form instantly these days.
The sec has gone from dominating to dominated under stankey. We’d be leaving at the right time.

But as others have said, we are not wanted, the other admin. are obviously colluding. Let’s go and sue the shite out of them

I don’t think LSU can stay so they need to be planning for other options. Oh and in the not too distant future conferences like the SEC will be a thing of the past.
