If I’m an NFL scout, I’d take Burrow over Tua. Burrow has an ability to read a defense like Peyton Manning could. It’s almost instinctual for him. Tua gets confused by defenses a lot.

All fricking day long. Burrow will be on an NFL roster a lot longer than Tua will be because of what you said. Tua might get drafted first but he’s not gonna make it over the long haul.

God I hope not. I want him to go to the Saints...not the damn dolphins.

18/35 for 184 0tds and 1 pick. Along with 0 points. I love Joe but he played awful against bama. I swear our QBs have been afraid of bama for years. Hopefully he can break that trend this year

I disagree.
He was already uncomfortable with the offense he was playing in and then for a gung-ho type player, they played extremely conservative which only decreased his comfort level.
Not to mention receivers dropping passes and little to no protection from the O-line.
I did not see a QB panicking or folding under pressure.
I saw a team with a poor schematic attack, poor execution and altogether just a lesser football team.

I watch a lot of college football & very objectively believe he is the most NFL ready QB in college football. Accurate, quick release, reads defense & one tough son of a gun that’s not afraid to stand in the pocket or stay in bounds on the run. Just plain football smart.

Know a certain NFL coach that loves him, but probably realizes he would have to sell the farm to move up high enough to have a shot.

I think we ALL know the real reason why Burrow would go ahead of Tua....
Because Burrow is 62% on throws in-the-air over 20 yards? And Tua is 43%?

The only thing Tua really has over Burrow from an NFL perspective us that Burrow has the tendency to throw a completely boneheaded, head scratching pass once or twice a game on average. Tua only does that once every two or three games.

I think you made that up.

I don’t see it. They both are incredibly accurate, but Tua just more athletic. Tua goes first but Joe is gonna be a great QB for the team that gets him!

Personally, Burrow reminds me so much of Brady and Brees, I hope the Saints take him and if not the Saints the Patriots because in those two systems he will excel.

You say Tua will be taken first because he's more athletic than say Burrow reminds you of Brady and Brees. I'll take the quarterback that is most like them first.

Only possible way that'll happen is if LSU defeats Bama. Otherwise.........no chance!

What the hell does that have to do with an NFL scout evaluating ability, talent, leadership, aptitude, temperament, etc.?

They don't give a shite about the outcome of that game. This is the pros we're talking about.

I've only seen two passes of Burrow this season that should not have been thrown. Both ended up as interceptions that were carried inside the LSU 10 yard line. Together they resulted in 3 points for the opponents.

joe has been treating football as his job.

Tua is an undergrad.
Joe is taking online courses. Mostly he is watching film and conferring with coaches about next opponent.

Yea I hate to be a Positiger and all but after Burrow absolutely destroyed Florida's "best in the SEC" defense the same way he's done every other team, I'm in. He's obviously not the natural talent of Manning but he's been coached and elevated to a level we've NEVER SEEN an LSU QB play at. He's reading 4 wr and a hot before running. And he's throwing to spots, not open receivers. That IS NFL starter QB caliber.

Burrow graduated from Ohio State in 3 years. And he was named Academic All-Conference Big-10. He's attacking his post-grad degree as he would any challenge.

You are absolutely correct (I know one of his graduate professors).
