If you have the right HC and systems in place, you can lose your coordinators and continue to attract high level talent to fill those positions.

Look at the number of OCs and DCs Saban and Kirby have had. They almost never see a drop off.

Denbrock was a good coach. I believe he’ll be replaced by another good coach. Trust the man in charge - we’ve got a good one now.

So then House isn't to blame for our shitty defense?

Then why was our Defense historically bad. This is just something people say to cope. You dont need to pretend like they dont matter. LSU will find someone good. It’s ok to say Denbrock did well AND that we will be good without him. A lot of OC’s would have a great year with Jayden. The guy went home. It’s that simple.

Combination of not having enough talent and his scheme.

The question is this though: If he’s fired, do you feel like we could attract a high level candidate to replace him? I do.

read this thread. i am not re typing it

saban absolutely has had some ups and downs with his offenses. they have NOT all been the same. kiffin is the one that gave him some spread concepts.

yes he does run HIS system on defense. how many sabans are there in the NCAA???

DC and OC can still frick shite up or do well. and yes it matters who they are.

I wouldn’t call them overrated, because lsu had fricked it up for years. But I do feel like having a QB is most important, followed by OC who is in sync & has a vision for said QB.

Those other schools do make it look easy, especially Alabama(Georgia is a little more defensive-dependent) because Saban is a defensive coach & has plugged & played so well for so long. So it’s just hard to assume anyone can do it.

That said I do have faith in Kelly. I would call it more of a process vs a system. Im not sure his offensive capabilities are that advanced to say he has a system in place (comparative to let’s say, Lincoln Riley).

Multiple factors, the biggest being lack of talent.

To an extent yes. It’s easy to blame and fire one guy. Which isn’t to say the coaching was good or that a change wouldn’t help but when a team isn’t good, there are multiple reasons

I think House would have looked better with better talent.

My concern is how bad he looked with lesser talent.

If he can’t bring any solutions to the table what’s he worth?

I'm not saying LSU doesn't need a new DC but the talent level on defense is not up to LSU standards at this point.

Hopefully they improve next season but thinking they will be ready to compete by adding a new DC is only setting oneself up to be disappointed.

LSU needs more D-linemen & a few CB's before a DC is going to make a serious difference.

To "be back" will take CB's that can cover and a D-linemen that can flush the QB so Perk can chase them down. Hopefully everyone comes back stronger & better.

LSU's defense this past season took a serious hit on so many levels. I'm not sure if Saban or Kirby could have made anything better with the talent level on LSU's roster.

I could probably find literally thousands of takes like that from you in your hundreds of thousands of posts, but I'm not gonna spend my entire life poking through post histories like you
