They can proclaim their politics elsewhere. Leave it out of my alma mater’s athletics.
I agree 100%.
I go to games to get away from politics and the real world.
I don't want to have politics from either side shoved down my throat at a game.

Oh I totally agree, which is why I said I don’t like the kneeling. My point was just that the other poster’s take was off base

Agree. I'm sure a number of people who showed up with a curiosity about the team and who would have come again will not be back. I would be in that number. Damned shame.
I have no problem with athletes drawing attention to their causes and beliefs if they want. BUT LEAVE THE ANTHEM OUT OF IT. When will they realize that a large segment of the people they want to reach will immediately tune them out when they kneel for the anthem? Come up with a more creative way to get your message across and I might listen. Otherwise they can frick off.

Very disappointing. Glad the crowd reacted. They are free to do that but I won’t be back.

Then there should be a counter protest outside the stadium on game days with Loud & Clear "Back the Blue"!

The idea is that they are using their platform to draw attention to those who they believe are oppressed, not that they’re saying they themselves are personally oppressed
What the crowd and many find offensive is the obsession with America’s sins. America’s youth is being indoctrinated with how flawed and evil America is, while sins of other nations including the dehumanizing aspects of socialism and evil of communism are not even discussed.
Honestly, unless these kids do research on their own or somehow break the shackles of what they are being taught they will spend a lifetime angry and miserable with no appreciation or realization of the incredible freedom and fortune that should be the American experience.

frick women's soccer! Need to get rid of those communist whores and start a men's team. Anyone that kneels should be expelled from the university, just like how they wanna unenroll students who aren't vaccinated. Grow a pair of fricking balls LSU.

This is called intellectual dishonesty.

It does solve a lot Bc u have brought attention to it. Now one of your co workers may donate time or money to try to defeat world hunger.

No one ever goes to their games and they finally are good and get a record crowd and they kneel? Lol you can’t make this shite up.

Video link of this? I just goggled and all that comes up is the TD thread!
This is very disappointing, one less LSU sport I have to pay attention to!

Bunch of grown adults going to watch women's soccer? Weird.
I know. It’s so weird for families with daughters or young sons involved in soccer to want to bring their kids to see a cheap/reasonably priced soccer game live on a Friday night. Freaking weirdos.

So parents AND girlfriends showed up this time?
Posted on 9/18/21 at 7:50 am to Outboard
I saw that it was being televised on the SEC Network, so I watched the game for 20 minutes or so. I’m not a big soccer fan, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen women’s soccer for more than a few “highlight plays”.
Well, I was shocked at how bad they were compared to the men’s soccer I’ve seen. The gap between women’s soccer and men’s soccer is the same or worse than basketball. It was so boring.

This is a fact. That political shite comes from all directions. People just can’t leave it alone.
