I agree with posters who suggest McNeese will not give you the best Death Valley experience. Which game would you want to go to? It may be that some posters here could help you find tickets for well below what they cost on the secondary market.
If I were you, I’d wear my UConn gear. That will identify you as a visitor but not a hostile one. Several years ago (our magical 2019 season I think), a couple of retired Oregon fans made it their mission to go to Game Day wherever it went and always were in Duck gear. They got total royal treatment at LSU. Admittedly that could be due to everyone’s really good mood that year.
A schedule will get published earlier in the week showing when the team and the band will come down the hill. Get over there earlier rather than later if you can to get a good view.
As another poster noted, the band goes in to the PMAC after it comes down the hill. I’ve never gone in there and don’t know if it costs (probably so) but I’ve heard others speak well of it.
As for parking, there are many entrepreneurs around the perimeters of campus that will sell you a spot in their yard or parking lot. I have no idea how well that works. Another option is my favorite bar/restaurant - The Pastime. It will be full of Tiger fans and Tiger memorabilia as well as great pizza and cold beer. But they’ll sell you a ride on a bus to the stadium and back ($10 last I heard). I’ve never done it so can’t vouch for how well it works getting out of the stadium but it works great getting there!

FYI- visiting team’s allottment section is in the Southeast corner of the stadium. East uppers will be in the afternoon sun, so just keep that in mind if you’re coming to one of the September games and don’t want to bake in the 1st quarter.

North endzone, west side. And the band is right next to the student section. For a big game, its the rowdiest part of the stadium. For a blowout or lower tier opponent, its the most likely to be empty halfway through the 3rd quarter.
