We got A&M it’s TBD so I’m holding out hope it is a night game. Should be a decent match up worthy of the time slot.

First and foremost, you can't get the full experience for anything other than a night game. That doesn't mean the stadium and game can't be great, but LSU's most sacred and noteworthy tradition is playing night games at home. Luckily, on paper, LSU has one of its best home schedules in years, so you will have multiple options. While not set in stone just yet (besides the Clemson game) there is a high probability the games vs. Texas A&M, Alabama and Texas will be night games. Tickets to those games won't be cheap. But if you want your best chance at the "full experience" it's a must to pick one of those games.

The East sideline gets most of the sun, which can make things miserable in September/early October for day games. However, if it is a night game where you sit is largely up to your preferred POV. Like in any stadium, the East and West sideline seats provide the best POV of the full game. The endzones views don't allow for the best depth perception, but they each have their own charm. The student section is in the North/NW endzone. There are non-student seats in the north endzone adjacent to the students. That's the loudest and most rowdy part of the stadium. Many of the visiting fans sit in the southeast corner of the stadium. However, there are plenty of LSU fans in the south endzone and they are great fans. The only problem for me, personally, is the view (i prefer sideline view).

I would also avoid the upper deck if you can. Also sitting really low in the lower bowl is a mixed bag. You are right next to the action, which is great...when the action is in front of you. When it is not you spend the entire time watching the game on the big screen because it is hard to see the field.

LSU fans are very proud of their reputation as the best tailgating atmosphere in the country. If you are a non-hostile visitor and friendly person, just go up to one of the many big groups tailgating and tell them you are a 1st time visitor from the NE who wants to experience an LSU gameday atmosphere. There is a 90% chance the host and guests will happily provide you will all of the food and drink you want to share some of their pride with you. Most of the "better" tailgate sites are near the stadium and withing 1/4 mile of the stadium. The further out you get the less "opulent" the tailgate party will likely be.

You'll want to see the team walk down the "hill" (not that much of a hill) into the stadium a couple hours before kickoff. Be in your seat at least 20 minutes before KO to see the in-game pregame activities.

I got 211 so definitely hoping to avoid the sun. Mid field lower bowl is always good, but I found a good deal on aisle seats. I imagine we will walk around the stadium a bit during the game as well so I didn’t want to disrupt anyone getting in & out of the row a couple times.
