2027 roster

Arrambide and Serna are 2 inches shorter. Milam is an inch shorter.

I haven't looked at other returning players.

It's clearly because of the ABS system and its requirements for more accurate heights, it's just funny to see.

Why didn't they post the coaches height?

If they did some system like ABS for basketball, Tremont Waters would have shrunk from 5' 11" to 5' 8"

Did they keep the old numbers for pitchers who won't see an AB?

Looks like it. Every returning position player is at least one inch shorter. I checked a couple pitchers and they weren't changed, so I stopped checking them.

I also didn't look at the rosters of where the transfers came from to see any changes there.

Gonna be hard to run up the ball up middle on the Tigers with Serna and Santarelli at the center of our defense.

Cade Kurland seems to be the most affected by the new measurements. He went from 5'11" at Florida to 5'8" at LSU.

It will be interesting to what degree the SEC implements ABS this year.

They didn't shrink. They aren't wearing their spikes.

From a BA podcast I listened to this morning (and probably in the article you linked on the other page), they're cutting a little bit off the top of the zone from where it was for the SECT.

It also looks to be an extremely talented roster. Lots of options on the mound and a lot of depth both on the mound and in the field
