New Advocate article on Tiger Stadium upgrades

Joe Alleva and his band of A$$ CLOWNS are at it again.
"LSU plans to spend the next two years creating additional restrooms and concessions while renovating and potentially expanding the existing ones in the 93-year-old venue, said Eddie Nunez, LSU’s deputy director of athletics."
Using the word "plans" allows this to either not take place at all or be downgraded to a new coat of paint.
Here are a couple more phrases used by Nunez...."It might happen"...."One of those things we’re looking at"......"There is no budget or detailed plans"......."it will likely unfold in phases"
And then at the end of the article......"Much, if not all, of the work will come during the off-seasons following the 2016 and 2017 seasons, a reason the school announced last week that the stadium won’t host Bayou Country Superfest the next two years. The multi-day country music festival has been held at Tiger Stadium since 2010."
THIS is the reason for this "new" article. Alleva is trying to divert attention away from their real reason for kicking Bayou Country Superfest out.......They just don't want it in TS anymore....which is fine with me, JUST DON'T LIE ABOUT IT....WE ARE NOT STUPID.

BCSF blows man. I'm sorry you're invested.

Its actually an awesome event but what's the reason for not wanting it hosted there if its not for the Upgrade excuse?

I don't see why you have an issue. They are planning out improvements. When it comes to design-build and repairs things aren't as black and white as you'd expect.

And yet, this TV in the EUD will STILL be broken and pointing towards the I-10 Bridge for the 5th consecutive season...

I don't understand why you think they're lying. The bathrooms in TS are atrocious. Fixing them up has probably been in the plans for a while now. And using a massive venue that would otherwise just sit empty during the offseason to make a little money is smart, so I don't know why you think Alleva has it out for BCF. If they are going to tear out all of the restrooms and redo each one, hosting a huge, multiple day concert would be difficult to say the least.

F...ing TVs are a joke. Its like being in a time warp. Suddenly I'm watching a shitty game in the early 90's thru those screens.

I'm not sure what you're bitching about. The upgrades are necessary. Do you have a feasible plan for hosting thousands of people at BCSF while the innards of the stadium are a demo/construction zone? The concourses and restrooms of Tiger Stadium are an absolute dump. They need work. I'm glad to see it happening.

This dude is so bent over BCSF leaving Tiger Stadium. He's still melting 5 days later.

I dislike Alleva as much as the next guy on here but you're just looking for a reason to bitch at him. The restrooms and concessions are getting a much needed makeover and all you can do is bitch about Alleva?
Bayou Country Superfest blows and has run its course. Good riddance.

There are plenty of reasons to not like Alleva but when it comes to upgrading facilities he has done a good job for the most part. I am a BCSF fan but I am ok with them choosing upgrades over the festival.

Sorry you are going to find a different venue to take in your Bro-Country.

He has to be taking a financial hit somehow by BCSF not being here, only reasonable explanation why he's so mad

I imagine that TV will still be broken this season since the renovations dont start until after this season but they did mention the TVs in the article.

Both concessions and restrooms will get facelifts. For example, televisions in atriums and near concessions will likely be replaced with flatscreens. Officials may add digital menu boards, too.

music festivals don't belong in a stadium.
gotta be in a field or something

It's way more about Alleva than BCSF, since most of his posts are anti-Alleva in some form. I bet he wouldn't have posted this at all if a different AD had made this exact same announcement.
