After Kiffin doubted his team on the 4th and 2 he admitted as much then created that beautiful trick play on the road deep inside LSU territory against Auburn.
If you remember after that easy first down our Tigers dominated.

That game was not as close as the score indicated.
The greatest catch Jets made all season was the onside kick at the end of the game. BAMA had regained the momentum at the end and we were clearly gassed at that point.

We were not in the least gassed. The defense had hardly been on the field for the last half hour. There was a long LSU drive for the two score lead, a long commercial break, a kickoff with more commercials, then a single play by Bama. But you’re right that Jetts’ recovery was important.

Deboer’s teams will never come close to the intensity of Saban’s
Most games though bama has zero discipline under KD, but until recently he had them ready for UGA and us

Yeah, Auburn’s dline was so strong that they dropped seven and let their dline stop the run. It worked.

How about we tackle Keelon Russell for a game plan.

Bama usually had the best Dline. Our turn now!

Both teams have been strong in the second half. We’ve been trending the past two games to having faster starts. Continue that trend I think it will get ugly early.

It’s called development of players sir.
I know most of you keep forgetting this part, and yes there is a difference between super stars and really great players, but the most important aspect of all 3 Heismans and All American players for Saban is he and his coaches developed them to become first rounders in most cases.

The team that came closest to pulling it off against us in 2019 was fricking Auburn.
Say what you want about them but they’ve got to be the biggest giant killers in CFB.
That auburn defense gave lsu the most trouble in 2019.

Nope. Per the recruiting rankings, he out recruited everyone. It's not about development. That might be 10 or 15% of it. Give less Miles savings players and vice versa, and Miles would've won most of those games. OK, maybe half. Lol

What do you think Ol Nick would say?
Think he would say ur a Tard for suggesting that coaching is only 10-15% of it.
Hell Indiana last year of a prime example of a coach making good players play great and becoming 1st rounders.
Anyway ur mind is made up and so it mine.

I would look at what Ol Nick put his effort into, and it was mostly recruiting.
I would also look at what Ol Nick did at Michigan State. He left it. He left it because he could not win championships there because he could not…?
I left it blank so you could practice your critical thinking, tard.
ETA: In 1995 Gerry DiNardo whipped Nick Saban’s arse 45-26. Talent rules.

If you look at DeBoering’s history, he has finesse teams….talented…..but not power teams.
This plays into our wheelhouse. We will out-physical Bama in the trenches, IMO

Think you proved my point.
LSU always has enough talent to compete for Championships.
But, you better have good coaching so that you can separate urself enough for those championships, and eventually the elite players that you are referencing.

You think 6 offensive linemen drafted can compete favorably with 12 drafted? LSU had similar talent to Bama in a lot of areas. They were far weaker on the offensive line and at QB.
The coaching was definitely a little better at Bama. But it was definitely better in 2019, and LSU ran roughshod over that better coaching. That was because LSU had slightly better team talent and a better QB.

You mean we had a once in a lifetime College QB that understood every faucet of the game, plus the strengths and weaknesses of each Offensive Lineman and actually made them look better than they were correct?
Because while I appreciate that line Joe made them who they were and assisted in that Award they won by being Joe.

Did Joe get six of them NFL jobs? Did Joe make four of them earn starting jobs in the NFL during their rookie camps? That line was great with or without Joe.
And "facet".

That line would have leaked like a faucet without Joe.
There, fixed it for you.
Just for viewing pleasure.and interest see below
Where are those starters today from the 2019 team
Charles-Practice Squad
Magee- Not in NFL
Cushenberry- 2nd / 3rd Team NFL
Lewis- Starter NFL
Deculus- Practice Squad
Ok so I’ll say it again, the line was solid but Joe made that line who they were and most people know that.
