The expectation of what this season was supposed to be vs what it has become is disappointing

There have been many disappointing years in my 60 years as a tiger fan.13out of 18 of Charlie Mac’s were disappointing.1/2 of the 80s were bad.Ithe 90s we had 3 or 4 decent seasons none great. The turn of the century and Mark Emmert brought the glory years, Nick built a gorilla with a chainsaw for a dick and Les did his best to f it up.For his first 4 seasons LM had as much or more talent in college FB and still found ways to lose 2 games a year even though he did back up ito a NC.LM last 3 years were Cholly Mac esq.I really thought BK would get us back into contention but his coaching hires and hands off opproach is a disaster.Unfortunatly we are stuck with him and the wheels are coming off.

The thing is your only one game away (one win away) from the narrative changing or maybe getting worse. But a win AT HOME vs undefeated A&M would go a long way to maybe giving us some hope.

OU while good is beatable even in the road.

That would leave a bama game in the road in where we would have to place flawless. And we havnt seen that once this year. But if we beat A&M my guess is that we looked almost flawless.

So hope. There is hope if we went against A&M and BK is 21-2 at home or something like that. Death Valley is a real weapon.

Couldn’t agree more. I’m usually disappointed at Thanksgiving, not trick or treating

Many my age remember the 80s when we weren’t mediocre - we were bad, like 3-8 bad. We all turned our attention to baseball which was kicking butt. We then saw Tennessee drop off after Fulmer for literally a decade and it we fear going in a ditch for 5-8 years. Now with NIL we can buy a new team every offseason.

Getting back to the point: crazy to think we were pre-season #3 and our QB was the Heisman front-runner predicted to go in top 5 picks in draft, maybe #1. But, crazy year all around - ask Texas, Penn State and Florida State how they’re feeling.

2016 was worse.

All the talent in the world returning. Fournette/Guice.

and we go 8-4.

1999 rivals 1992 in sheer ineptitude. Funny thing about that team however was that they came within three plays late in games that come have resulted in a 6-5 record and possibly keeping DiNardo.

1. LSU lost 21-22 to Georgia on the last play when a 2 point conversion attempt pass from Josh Booty was batted away.

2. LSU lost 16-17 to a then undefeated Miss St. team thanks to a late touchdown awarded to a Bulldog running back; the play clearly indicated he was stopped short of the goalline. That play would have never survived today's official review process.

3. LSU lost in Tuscaloosa to Bama 23-17 when Josh Booty was halted in midair about an inch short of the goalline trying to score on a QB sneak on the last play of the game.

This offense has been very boring to watch. In that regard it’s been hard watching this team

We go undefeated but lay an egg in the NC game all because of a stubborn head coach.

People say this but there was absolutely nothing Les could have done that night to beat Bama. We had limited QBs and LSU’s scheme was hopeless against Bama.

you weren't around for Curley and DiNardo. Those years sucked bad. Even Archer was a disaster.

1990 - got my MBA in May (Reagan Comencement) and started work in ATL with a huge mix of SEC grads. Archer's team sucked, Curley's teams sucked. Hard to say which 1990 -1994ish team was worse....
But DiNardo brought back the magic, Saban built a monster, Miles fed it; Orgeron had the best season in CFB history, and Kelly...really screwed da pooch...we deserve better.
I am over BK.

Answer-2025.

Alabama player hurt on the play on the ground and not getting up and sideline/goaline ref just stares at him and never stops play or the clock.

2 losses to top 10 teams on the road, by a TD or less.

Catastrophe syndrome.

Lol, this isn’t a disappointing year compared to those of Curley Hallman. Some of us still carry the scars from that era.
