don't think that number is accurate. On D1, he's 110 wRC+ today.

Fangraphs has him at 94 wRC+ for the year. I’ve noticed this year that FG and D1 have disagreed on metrics such as FIP and now wRC+

He’s not wrong.

Frey is turning into this year’s Brady Neal, the person Jay just has to force into the lineup.

Not sure why people think Mascona knows anything about sports because he obviously doesn’t. He’s the prime example of what has ruined sports media.

Brown, going into yesterday, hadn't been swinging the bat very well for a couple of weeks. Frey has hit very well, and has way more power.

SEC stats:

Brown:
.302/.558/.380
2 HR in 43 AB

Frey:
.244/.400/.333
2 HR in 45 AB

So if you want Brown in the lineup, the discussion should be whether or not he should take playing time away from Pearson, in my opinion.

I agree with this.

Ethan Fry has the highest BA on the team. He has 5 more Homers than Brown. He’s acting like Fry has been a scrub.

His BA is mostly inflated from non-conference games. He’s hitting .244 in SEC play, whereas Brown is hitting .302. Scone has a point

Just two weeks ago people were begging for Frey to be full time. He absolutely earned his right to get significant at bats. Hasn’t fully worked out so I’m sure Jay will evaluate.

LSU needs a damn hitting coach and they can't get breaking balls they can't get sliders they can't even hit anything but fastballs that's all they want to breathe about it's fastballs

I agree but if we’re are lucky enough(and don’t mean lucky in the sense of shthouse luck) I mean if certain things happen with other teams and we hold up our end. Josh is a seasoned vet and we will need him because he’s clutch in big moments and has been in his career at LSU. If we go deep we will need him to get there in some way or another. He will have a moment, always does.
