Of course the national championship is better but winning the SEC tourney championship this year in particular is impressive since 7 of the top 10 teams are/were in the tournament.

The sec trny will have more talent with 7 of the top 10 teams or so but teams dont go all out to win it like they will the cws.

Now, some teams do have a little extra motivation. We're trying to get a national seed. Florida wanted redemption after losing the series to us. Thus, that game was as intense as a CWS game. But for the most part, people are just getting their feet wet, preparing for the real thing coming up

Considering that 3 or 4 of the best teams in the SEC tournament are not very interested in winning it, I'd give the nod to Omaha.

I agree with your conclusion, but your reasoning is specious. If you use S Carolina instead of LSU you'd reason thus: S Carolina has won the CWS twice and has never won the SEC tournament. Therefore the SEC is harder to win.

the schedule/format of the two makes the SEC tourney more taxing.
SEC = 5 wins in 6 days to win tourney
CWS = 5 wins in 12 days to win tourney
SEC = 5 wins in 6 days to win tourney
CWS = 5 wins in 12 days to win tourney
