I noticed some bats that don’t look like Marucci bats. I never knew the actual rule, were we required to use Marucci through a sponsorship in the past? Am I seeing things? Etc…

Pretty sure some of them use Victus bats which is owned by Marucci.

It always gets figured out as the season goes along, might just be that Evans likes coming out of the pen more. Such is baseball

Gotta love your best pitcher getting pieced by Milwaukee on opening day lol. Good thing about baseball is it’s a long season we will be just fine

I don't think he stays Friday night starter for long. He'll obviously get more opportunities, but if the preseason and this game are any indication, he'd be better going back to the bullpen.

Maybe even Sunday starter so he can learn how to pitch as a starter. It was a concern many of the people who went to the preseason games had and they reported on. Musso kept saying he'd have to get better if he wants to stay the Friday night guy.

They hit like 2 balls hard. He will be fine.

Williams will probably work himself into the weekend rotation, along with Noot.

Kind of reminds me of Zack Hess situation.

Except he started and performed well in SEC games last year. He shut down Tennessee. Hess went from closer to starter. Not really the same. Evans has been a closer, long relief, and starter.

Even though they removed the bullpens, foul territory on the first base side at Alex Box remains treacherous with the height of the padding in front of the premium seats...

I think Evans will work it out.

I'm not scared.

I'm thinking Williams will be money out of the pen this year.

It's certainly possible. Maybe Moore goes to Friday night depending on how he performs. Supposedly the staff is really high on him.
