Hopefully Arrambide can tighten it up back there.

I don't think he stays Friday night starter for long. He'll obviously get more opportunities, but if the preseason and this game are any indication, he'd be better going back to the bullpen.

Pretty sure he took the whole summer off and didn't pitch a ton in the fall either. He's probably just a little rusty. I was a little worried about putting too much on him too but I'm not gonna start forming any opinions for a couple more months

Eh we’ve replaced our top two starters every year since 2021. We’ve had great 1/2 guys every year too.

I’m thinking Williams works his way into the Friday role, even tho he’s only throwing 89 instead of 98 like Mascona said

This team doesn't have a Friday starter and they seem complacent.

Maybe no championship this year. UCLA deserved to be #1 after all

Couldn't locate in the bottom of the zone like he did so well last season. We will see if it comes back... I think it will.

You’ve come to this conclusion after 3.5 innings of baseball?

Have a feeling we are going to see a lot of 3 inning pitching this year. Lot of arms but maybe not the elite starter like last year stuff. Will see

Random fact of the day: We haven’t lost an opening day game since 2001

The offense so far is more frustrating to me. Outside of Yorke and Cade no one has really hit a ball hard yet.

The first at bat of the game was a well hit ball.

Milam hit a line drive, just right at the third baseman. Caraway hit a ball a mile foul.
