I'm curious how the numbers work. I know O has said he want's to fill the spot with a transfer, but would it be beneficial to pocket it and save the spot for an EE next year? (If that's how it works.)

Unless the player is elite or fills a starter spot then yes you save it for the transfer portal next year or even this year.

You don't know who is going to enter the portal

I do like him.

Big, fast, and has some wiggle.

I wouldn't be mad if they use the scholarship on him

How many years does he have left?

I think next year is the championship run for lsu anyway

Do you have a link with the info stating he is interested in LSU?

Agree, LSU has enough wide receivers.

I think a proven LB or safety type player would serve us better than a WR.

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

If Woods is interested and available, you take him.

They do seem to think its OU, but lets see.... we've seen crazier things happen.

Maybe O can get Wade to give him a call.

We have some young guys that enrolled early and others that will be here in the summer. Besides that,we need a solid 2 and maybe even a 3.

I dont think that jontre or jaray are true and reliable 2s.i think they are legit 3s and 4s.we need to have 4 or 5 guys that have been in the fire before.imo, dont count on the Freshman. They may have a Freshman or two that end up contributing a good bit like boutte did ,but that's just a bonus.

If you dont count the Freshman then we have boutte, kirklin ,lee, jenkins, adams and palmer.

Out of that group, their isnt 3 or 4 guys that are big time sec receivers.

Boutte is a 1, jenkins a 3, and kirklin is a 4 and potentialy a 3 , but that's being generous .

Rather just hold the spot for if a legit Safety pops into the portal again (one like Tykee Smith who ended up at UGA) or if you could somehow swing a top tier ILB like To’o To’o. otherwise roll it over to next year.

i like him but OU message board think he is going there. He has a connection there and OU has lost some WRs to transfers and issues

wouldnt be mad at it but feel pretty comfortable about some of our freshman stepping in and stepping up. I would much rather LSU go after another proven OL or LB imo

Would be a great pickup imo. Proven number 2 SEC WR. Had better numbers last year than anything we return outside of boutte

At this point unless we expect to be able to land a slam dunk OL then we should take woods. I think we have enough guys at lb to make it work
