Apparently he is interested in LSU for a possible landing spot. LSU has one spot left for their 2021 recruiting class. Is this something we should pursue?

We could use a proven #2 WR

Where did you read that he is interested in LSU?

I wouldn't be disappointed but do we really need another WR? And don't get me wrong, he is really good!

From Dandy Don:

quote:

In football recruiting news, Arkansas wide receiver Mike Woods has entered the transfer portal. Woods caught 32 passes for 619 yards and five touchdowns last season, and his average of 19.3 yards per catch are the most of any returning receiver in the SEC. I mention him because there’s chatter of him being interested in LSU and South Carolina. The Tigers have one remaining spot open in their 2021 recruiting class.

I'd rather we go with what we got at WR.

I think a proven LB or safety type player would serve us better than a WR.

An OL would be good too. Next year our OL could be very weak.

Did y’all watch the spring game? We have Boutte and Kirklin and...a whole bunch of potential.

Woods has proven he can play in the SEC unlike the WRs on our roster not named Boutte.

Didn’t even need to watch the spring game to know this. Outside of Boutte was have little proven WR talent. Some freshmen will HAVE to step up this year.

If our offensive scheme is what it should be then it shouldn’t matter much who is at wr 3 and 4. We have talent there

Can he block a defensive end?

Disagree. I don't know much about Woods. But, if he's an above average #2 SEC WR, we need him in a bad way.

I would take him in a heart beat we need a solid 2/3 receiver

Been saying this for awhile

Need the freshmen to step up.

None of them are on campus yet except deion smith.

Kirklin should help but he isn't elite
If gilbert doesn't come back then they really need someone to step up

If O wants to resemble that 2019 O like he keeps saying, watch for him to go after this guy. He is an immediate impact guy. If he wants to run Brady's O he has to have multiple Offensive weapons to throw too. Why do you think he his bending over backwards for Gilbert to get back? Lets hope its the right call if he goes that way.

This ^^^^
Go watch this guys tape, he’s legit! Big and fast and really good at securing tough catches in coverage.
You can’t replace T Marshall, but Mike Woods + Arik Gilbert > Marshall alone.
And btw, to the above responses, Woods would be our clear cut # 2, even ahead of Gilbert.

As a Shreveport/Bossier kid, shoutouts to him for his park and pool. Many a good times.
