What are the chances of them going 8-5 the rest of the way in the SEC? Is 9-9 enough to make the NCAA Tournament? Are they good enough to go 9-9? I’ve read on here it’ll probably take 9-9 to get in.

Well if that was my goal, I guess I succeeded because it got you to write an entire post focused on me.
I’m flattered that you would take the time to stalk me on here but you might want to use your time elsewhere. I mean all of your arrow points were dead wrong.
Good try though, champ.

Disagree … low energy bunch.
Please watch Taz on the bench BEG his bench players for energy…. He BEGS for the team to get hyped and get close in team huddle during time outs … doesn’t work. I could not take my eyes off of him today and he looked frustrated w lack of enthusiasm and excitement

Really hoping we can win one of those to keep our tourney hopes alive. Should have beat UK and Aggy if it weren’t for two collapses

Do you really think I want McMahon fired because of 1 game? How about because of what he's done here over 4 years? The guy is a terrible basketball coach for LSU. How stupid do you have to be to think he deserves more time here? How stupid does one have to be to think he's doing a good job here?
CMM is not a great coach, but he is definitely not terrible. The team is doing some good things. I don’t think they’re highly talented, but they’re playing with heart.

Keep up the good work. Your game is obvious.

careless turnovers and backcourt violations
This is a systemic issue which began with the first game vs Aggies. It should be rigorously addressed in practice before the next game at Florida. Why it's still happening is simply frustrating for the coaches and certainly for the fans.

They are good enough to win 2 or 3 more. UK beat #20 Tenn yesterday. We will be in every game with the bottom half of the SEC and might get lucky with 1 or 2 of the top.

Awww…and isn’t that all that really matters? Thanks mom.

I've still got 5-13.
It's better than last year.

Even if we had a healthy Thomas and Jalen Reed aka the 2nd coming of Tim Duncan, we’d still be at best a middle of the road SEC team.
McMahon should have been let go after last season. Too many LSU basketball fans have given up on him. Verge knows the deal, he’ll make it happen.

I was pleased with how they played. They played tough, hard nosed ball for 40 minutes on both ends of the court for 40 minutes.
That absolutely has not been the norm - dare I say outside maybe the SMU game - we've not even really come close to that complete a performance. Definitely the toughness they played with was an outlier and very welcome.
I was happy to see it. I know there are folks now pulling for us to lose so CMM can be fired....that's just a fact. I can't fan like that. While I have significant concerns Re: CMM - I'll give him his flowers for this game - he had the boys ready and they executed.

Losing sucks. I don’t think McMahon is the guy to ever lead this program to great, or even good heights, but you have to be happy for he and his team in getting the win. I’m not one to ever pull for a loss…even if it may be for the overall betterment of the program. That was a brutal loss on Wednesday and they bounced back against a Mizzou team who was playing with confidence.

Well said Alt and I agree.

Missouri has a solid starting lineup..But honestly (and what I'm about to say will liberate torrents of downvotes): McMahon outcoached Dennis Gates. One example-- who ever heard of getting rid of all of your timeouts with 14 minutes left in the game!
agree, we give CMM plenty of grief here and in many instances - not all - the grief given is somewhat warranted. So it's only fair to give him his flowers when he earns them - and IMHO he did yesterday.
We really took them out of what they wanted to do offensively most of the game. I don't think I could really say that about any other game this year, at least against a decent opponent. They even made some really tough shots where we defended well.

How anyone can say this given McM’s SEC record blows my mind. McM is objectively the worst men’s basketball coach in LSU history. In every SEC game except Vandy, which we were never in, the team has undergone massive second half collapses. That continued yesterday. This team will be lucky to win another 4 SEC games.

What? By every game you mean Kentucky? We were losing big to South Carolina, and we were losing to A&M at half time as well. We were up by 10 at half to Missouri and won by 8.

They cut the South Carolina lead to two possessions and led the A&M game late. Why just focus on the negative stretch. They had positive stretches in every game and had their chanes, even without Thomas which bodes well if he can return soon.

Two moral victories! Still resulted in LOSSES for our head LOSER’s 15-44 SEC record.
Oh wait…he got a win yesterday. I have to treat him like John Wooden now.
