I believe he is a good man and isn’t just coasting with no effort. I think he wants to be successful. It’s good for him and LSU in the long run. Next year is make or break for him. He desperately needs an upgrade in talent.

I like our recruiting class coming in. I think we will have a good portal so long as we make the NIT

You can’t be a good guy and win in college basketball. Have to be willing to get your elbows dirty to get the best players.

You morons forget so quick the dumpster fire this program was when will wade left and how he really never had much success at LSU. LSU basketball has had some very good years and some very good talent but has never been a power for an extended length of time. I’m not saying LSU can’t become a power but 1 or 2 players won’t do it. Sit back and let the guy build a program maybe he will be successful maybe he won’t but in no way is next year a make or break year. He has done wonders with the talent he has had at LSU. He doesn’t have a Kim mulkey reputation and we knew that when he was hired. Heck I don’t know if there is a coach in the men’s game that can come in and do what a Kim mulkey was able to do and turn a program around from nothing to a national contender in year 1. But look back at what he had when he got here and where they are now it’s a drastic change to this point

Dude caught the tail end of a recruiting class in his first month and pulled out Ward and Reed.

Then he faced an early signing day for the next recruiting class 5 months later and pulled out Chest and Mike Williams III (incredible find).

Finally, with 3 spots available and only getting the results from the NCAA a month or 2 before, he landed Robert Miller III and stole (most sites had us as a longshot) Curtis Givens III from Memphis.

High school recruiting seems to be one of his biggest strengths so far. Given that 2 of the classes were under a heavy cloud, he landed 5 top 100 recruits and the 6th (Mike Williams) is playing beyond expectations.

Mike Williams is a gem for sure, especially considering that some sites had him as only a 3*

I’ll wait and see how he constructs the roster but it is going to be tough to improve it from this year. I doubt he gets transfers as good as Wright and Baker.

What means “recruit“? If you want them, somebody needs to shell out money for them. Not enough people willing to do that for men’s basketball exist at LSU. We ran off the coach that understood this and took control of the situation himself.
