Can you actually legitimate make this argument without Brian Kelly winning a national championship?
Because if he doesn't Woodward would have wasted $100 million to not win a championship. That is the standard by what Kelly was brought here for and so far I'm not sure there are many who believe Kelly will win a title here.
The Jay Johnson hire is great. Mulkey is great as well.
Those 2 are also sports no one nationally really cares about. The 2 relevant sports in Football and Basketball have so far had an F MINUS hire and a B-ish hire.

McMahon is bottom 3 worst mens bball coach in LSU history when you factor in recruiting, strategy, in-game management and fan relations.
General Wade was by far the best mens bball coach in LSU history by the exact same metrics.
LSU mens basketball is dead to me and will be for the foreseeable future. Men's college bball sucks anyway, so it's not some great tragedy.

Although it is a widely held belief, there is no hard evidence that SW sacrificed WW to influence the NCAA to go easy on LSU bball.
IMO, SW wanted to get rid of WW who he disliked and get his own hire in that position. It was a MAJOR mistake to fire WW and a bigger mistake to hire CMM.
But I went to the game today (after renewing my MBB season tickets) and it made me sick. At least I have tomorrow to see our WBB team play, to look forward to.

You know it's bad when SEC NOW is showing today's highlights and LSU is the only team they don't talk about, they showed a couple of highlights, mainly from K St, and moved on to the next game. Every other game they voiced opinions about how they project them going forward into the season. I guess their rule is if you have nothing good to say, then say nothing! Which they did.
