re: LSU 16 @ Vanderbilt 9 Final

The freaking bats are still sleeping, that pitcher gave gave us those runs. Any marginally productive pitcher shuts our bats down. Only two hits today, I don't think we have any off this guy, f..king terrible; he is no hitting us!

Bullpen is going to lose another game for us. Hope Garcia is on, if not they are going to get the brooms out.

We do not have anyone in the bullpen we can rely on other Garcia and we need him to try an salvage one tomorrow. If this guy Vandy pitches through 8th, we will be in real danger of being swept tomorrow.
If Kiffin goes elsewhere, we should go and get Charlie Hull...flip the bird at the media and the rest of college football and start winning Championships. He will keep Frank, the defensive staff and the GM. They will be a recruiting juggernaut!
What are you smokin...Gainsville has the highest crime rate in the South, certainly in Florida.
I knew John Reaves fairly well and had many beers with him and his sons here in Tampa. He passed 6-7 years ago; was good guy. He always used tell me that LSU had the hottest women in the SEC and the best athlete he ever played against was Tommy Casanova.
Neither Saban nor Kiffin are coming here. This board sounds like a group of washwomen. We will be courting Drink and Sumrall; better hope one of them bite otherwise we may be really reaching.
Because we had a terrible pass blocking offensive line...we were easy to figure out. That's why our screen game didn't work. we made it easy on the defenses we played. They had an 75-80 % percent chance of guessing right. Skewed the game in our opponents favor when they walked on the field.
Maybe it is Saban AD, Kiffin HC! Just a thought.

So I guess everyone thinks it is OK that the agent for our AD is also the agent for a significant number of the high end coaches coaches in the NCAA. That's how we ended up with BK, or could end up with a Jimbo Fisher, a Franklin, or Swinny. You don't think there is some influence there. I mean yes it worked out in baseball but it surely did not work out for us in football. I believe in removing any doubt of influence...the new AD should have a say but the final say should be with the BOS.
We are definitely going to need magic...cause we are missing talent.
We will not beat A&M...did any of you watch the tape of our offensive line...there is a Vandy player coming in unblocked on almost every play. There were only a few plays where Nuss had the time to throw deep. The Aggies have a more talented defensive front, I believe...and the Aggies staff are watching film of what Vandy did to us. Expect more of the same. Their running QB is faster than Pavia and throws better. If we had our defensive starters for the game it would be 50/50, but without Whit and Gooden we will not stop the A&M QB. I desperately hope I am wrong and make a fool of myself. I gave up my Tampa Bay Lightning Hockey tics to stay home and watch this one out of pure curiosity (not because I expect to win). And if by some miracle they pull this out; we still get crushed in Bama and OK.
Bottom line: The problem is we are a one dimensional football team. We should not be in the playoffs if we cannot run the damn football.

re: Good series Tiger baseball fans

Wasn't a good series for us, baseball gods turned their back on us...nothing we did was right...no starting pitching, no bullpen, no clutch hitting...recipe for losing a lot of SEC series. Hoping the young men on this team don't give up and keep working hard, maybe they will get better and we get more breaks in the second half.
I agree 100%, when you sit on your heel with one leg laid out, you definitely cannot physically react quick enough to get your body in front of an errant pitch to either side. Glove side is a little better only because you can reach but an errant pitch to your non-glove side becomes very difficult to get in front of from that position. I guess current coaches believe that position allows the greatest overall plate coverage without having to move. I was taught the squat position allows the greatest mobility to either side though and once you shift after an errant ball you can then go down to one knee to block. None of our guys do that though, so obviously things have changed since my old arse played. Another thing our guys don't do very well is frame the pitch. Milazzo and Neal or OK but Travinski is awful. Arkansas's catcher saved his pitcher's numerous times by framing pitches into strikes.
You know it's bad when SEC NOW is showing today's highlights and LSU is the only team they don't talk about, they showed a couple of highlights, mainly from K St, and moved on to the next game. Every other game they voiced opinions about how they project them going forward into the season. I guess their rule is if you have nothing good to say, then say nothing! Which they did.
Nevermind I found the pic, it was someone else
He was at the game, there is a pic last night of Bryce Underwood down on the field...PJ Woodland is standing right beside him to the left in the pic. I could not find the pic or I would have posted.
