If Jay is pitching Skenes, Ben is just protecting him by saying why it would be a good decision. His job as an analyst is not to hammer the coaches.

Ben isn’t suggesting or protecting. He just made a potential argument for doing it. Ben clearly said if he was in CJJ shoes, it would be Floyd then Skenes with Hurd closing a close game if necessary in the 1st two. If he isn’t needed then start game 3
I agree with Ben. Floyd is a stud just not the same category of stud that Skenes is. Let’s make sure we win the 1st two.

No reason to pitch Skenes today, Tulame may have won their conference but they are also 19-40. We should win this game with Hurd or Floyd on the mound.

We should win this game with Little on the mound. To be honest, I'd throw Little out there to start the game and see if he can give you 3/4 decent innings. If he can't hold Tulane to 4 or 5 runs over that span than CJJ should sign his transfer paperwork on the spot. We should be able to win this game with our 5 worst pitches, even if Tulane scores 8 to 10 runs.

MOMENTUM. We needed a strong Game 1. Thatcher Hurd should have eased “some” of the pitching woes (down the stretch). He believes in his stuff, right now. I, personally, liked Skenes setting the tone, for the post-season. Let’s cast off this chicken shite mentality, and get ready. I bet Oregon State’s #4 is so happy to face these bats. Let’s rake.
