Easily the most excited I've been about a basketball team in a long time.

Since the last time Will Wade was the head coach.

Wonder what is the common factor between those two times?

You try entirely too hard on this board.

It’ll be interesting to see how that goes. Wouldn’t be surprised if we’re subbing more than Wade used to, playing guys in shorter bursts. Watched alot of euro ball this summer and that’s how they do it. Wade likes to emulate pro trends and with a lot of euro guys it wouldn’t shock me.

Dessert is good enough that Kansas wanted him a year or two ago but didn't think they could get him eligible so backed out of it.

If you want the team to be the most well rounded, and a better defensive lineup, i think you go with clark, but obviously they both will play alot

Yeah Clark vs. Bashir is something I've gone back and forth on a bunch...but reality is both will play a ton anyways so it doesnt really matter who "starts". I think Clark ultimately starts with the chemistry he has with Dent already, but I mean you gotta play Bashir a lot when he's draining 3's because he's one of those instant scorers that can flip a game or put a game away pretty quick when he's on. The 26 he dropped on UCF was a thing of beauty. On the flip side the 1 for 10 from 3 against McNeese made that a close game probably

This is how I see it as well. What's the injury status on Nunez?

It's really just the first 3 guys, Nunez and Levy are better than the walk ons for sure but are clear CLEAR steps down from the rest of the Top 8 guys. They to me are "break glass in case of injury/foul trouble" to the guards or bigs happen basically. I dont expect to see much of them outside of that or blowouts.

Also it seems like Nunez might not even be able to play for a while this year being in a boot the exhibition games.

I know there's some confusion around Bender being a walk on or scholarship guy, regardless of the designation understand he averaged 8 and 8 in high school last season and didnt have a recruiting profile anywhere - long story short, also dont expect him to play much any outside of blowouts. They like him better than the 3 other walk ons for later potential but he's just a practice body really for now.

Isn’t the entire 15 player roster scholarship eligible?

Niang listed as a freshman? Don’t imagine he’d stay 4 years anyway, but does he actually have that much eligibility ?

Yeah, I don’t check the official site often, but wasn’t expecting to see Levy there yet.

A few folks were concerned about Levy's age; I assume due to the new rule regarding age. The thing is, the new 5-for-5 rule is not fully in effect until the 2027 school year

So I would assume that Levy will be playing under the old set of rules and will have 5 to play 4.
