After the NIL stunt and MM name dropping a certain beloved someone our current roster of LSU media have proven themselves nothing but poison.

Be has one of the worst media pools. No one wants their free Buffett taken away from them so our coaches are allowed to suck.
What gets me most is the mcmens excuses wouldn’t fly for any other program on campus.
Scott has a sensitive ego so we can’t fire the mm failure while Wade is at mcneese because then he either has to apologize and hire Wade back or go do a real search and bring in a acceptable hire.

I have a feeling he’s getting fired. Nothing to back that just a gut feeling.
No way you can look at his 3 year track record and be okay with him returning.

You know how bad you have to be to not even be close to the NCAA tournament in 3 years? You'd have to be the worst coach in the conference.
Now think about how bad you have to be to not make an NCAA tournament in year 4 at LSU? Especially in an era where you can turnover a roster every year.

All conventional wisdom would point to that but I’ll believe it when I see it unfortunately. The guy is 14-40 in the SEC and the rest of the conference is only getting better. The idea of us continuing with this failed leadership is disturbing.
Like many others, I would take Wade back. If we’re being honest, probably 90% of this board would. However being a realist, I know that will not happen. But for the sake of program, please hire anybody else. Even if they took a flyer on an assistant from a P4 program, I could respect that because that shows they’re at least trying.
Once we’re bounced on Wednesday, I’m hoping a change is made but unfortunately I’m doubtful.

I hope you are right but that media piece makes me think he is trying to keep him one more year with the excuse that more NIL will make him better. Woody has played his cards close to the vest with coaching changes in the past so it’s not completely out of the question that he makes a change.

That’s how you get right back into the same situation.
Don’t just “hire anyone else”. Be deliberate with the search and not just flip through Wikipedia to find the “best resume”. Ask how that resume was built? Is the guy going to be a fit at a major conference program vs just a guy who can win at the mid-major level? Can he be a fundraiser to get the necessary NIL support?
There isn’t going to be a 100% certainty you’ll hire the right guy. But this isn’t football or baseball where LSU is a top job in the market. The basketball HC takes a more thorough process because the top tier HCs aren’t going to consider LSU.
