Texas has won 6 of its last 7 ballgames. They're surging, particularly at home. Their last five games include 4 Quad 1 and one Quad 2 opportunities. Texas could get in as a 4 or 5-- they're elite-adjacent, in my book

I was a season ticket holder during Johnny Jones’ lame duck season. Went to just about every game that year. Even I, sm completely apathetic at this point. Something must be done.

Apathy is the worst thing that can happen to a program and that's what we have in spades.
I was visiting a friend Saturday out of town and we were at a sports bar - it was an LSU town. The LSU-Tennessee game was coming on at 5 - I said to him watch, when it gets to 5 they will not have the LSU game on - I'll have to tell ask them to put it on - sure enough.
Been a recurring theme for me - the above scenario. Been happening to me for over 20 years. Even when the team is pretty good it's happened. Sometimes I would be in a sports bar in Baton Rouge to watch a game and say can you put the game on when LSU hoops is playing and they would inevitably say "what game".

We were at Torchy's across the street from the PMAC before the South Carolina game on Saturday and they did not have the men's basketball game on.

I've never felt LSU "didn't care" about MBB. I've long said that LSU just picked a bad coach. It happens. It was clear after year 1. But, realistically, LSU wasn't going to fire MM after that first season. Year 2 was "better" (though not good), which at least provided a bit of optimism for year 3. That turned out to be just as bad as year 1. That alone would have gotten any other HC at LSU fired. However, there were extenuating circumstances in basketball at play with the (now former) president/AD not wanting to deal with a push to re-hire the HC they fired. So they gave MM year 4 on that basis ALONE.
However, if MM is retained after this season then I will 100% agree LSU does not care about MBB in the slightest because there would be no other logical conclusion to be drawn by LSU retaining MM.

I can't tell you how much I see that over the past 20 years - even times when we have good teams. Many, many examples.
2021, we had a pretty good team that year - The SEC basketball tournament is going on it's a Friday night and some friends and I are at Walk-Ons. LSU baseball is also playing a regular season road game.....Now this is Walkon's a sports bar next to LSU that was named for guys that walked on to the LSU basketball team.
We had to remind them the LSU basketball game was on and had to ask them to take the volume off the baseball game and put it on the basketball game.
