My favorite tweet

“ Burrow's numbers vs. top-20 defenses this year: 112-143 (78%) for 1,356 yards, 12-1 TD-INT ratio, 44 rushes for 179 yards. Trevor Lawrence's numbers vs. top-20 defenses this year: 0-0 for 0 yards, 0-0 TD-INT ratio, 0 rushes for 0 yards.”

Burrow has thrown for 1100 more yards that Lawrence over the past 2 seasons.

It's not like it's a ridiculous opinion. If you take out the first month of the season, Lawrence has been phenomenal.

Ok, if we get to pick and choose. I say we take away all Joe's interceptions.

The way that clown was looking at him, he probably went and tattled to his boss that he’s feeling victimized. Wouldn’t be surprised to see a more subdued Marcus in the future

He got handed his “script” this morning and saw his hot take had to be “Lawrence is better than Burrow”.

Bet his next thought was “great. I have to look like the biggest moron in sports this morning... what I’ll do for a paycheck.”

It was a terrible argument to make, but Dan is 6'5" 215 lbs.

My biggest issue was Spears putting qualifiers in his argument. There is no need. Burrow has been better all season. You don't even have to mention the competition. Also, if Dan's argument is "right now", Joe has been consistent all season. He didn't put up mind boggling stats then settle down. He has put up mind boggling stats all season.

That's why i was assuming he was just making a general argument. Forever when arguing about best QB, usually pro, we've used more than just stats. The stats are obviously not even close. So i don't see why its such a big deal.

I'd say he is better than Fields, but just an opinion.
I think he is better QB too, and will be a better pro. But the stats give a slight edge to Fields this year.

Yes...I take my QB assessments from the guy who is responsible for this classic.

Why did he defend TL by stressing the defense stats??

What's more impressive is that Burrow's stats against top 20 are better than Lawrence's for the year.

I knew exactly what the reaction would be on this board when I saw the video.

It’s very obvious Burrow had a better season. I think Dan was trying to say Trevor is still more talented. Both things can be true.

Trevor Lawrence was considered a “once in a generation” talent as a recruit. As a true freshman, he destroyed a Bama team many people thought was unbeatable.

Coming into this season, there was talk that Lawrence might be the most talented college qb we’ve ever seen. Kid still hasn’t dropped a game in college. If both were going into the draft, Lawrence is still the top prospect.

Dan Orlovsky is one of the smartest people today doing what he does. Spears is reaching Stephen A./Micheal Irvin levels of being loud and annoying.
