Crazy. He definitely looks skinny for a linebacker but surprised they couldn’t figure something out.
Yep. You know who else looked skinny out there? Debo Jones. And Marcel saw the field in critical moments wayyyy ahead of when Debo did. Oh well.

[quote]It’s always “personal reasons” when a player has a hissy fit about something and transfers. This probably won’t end well for him but good luck.

Stop it. Why won't it end well for him ?He will transfer to a big 12 school, play safety, and be a 2nd round pick .
Doubt he stays here, but possible. It just isn't very common to enter the portal and end up staying.
Wherever he goes he will be able to pick his position

He just tweeted a purple and gold heart, not that it actually means anything.

All he had to do was gain 25 lbs. Brennan was anorexic when he enrolled. Now he is a budding 1st rounder.
Can some of y'all go back to what you do the m there. Is nothing going on?
I thought I may have been a little too bullish on Brennan today ,where were you, i would have held your beer.

Probably my favorite player to watch on Defense. So intense and quick to the ball. Pure athleticism. A cross between B. Mingo and G. Delpit.

If he is wants to play S, I get it.
Thing is, I trust these coaches know what they’re looking for and what will 1) make this year’s team most successful, and 2) help these guys see where they are best suited to play. They may not like it, and inevitably choose to go somewhere else, but it is what it is.
I have confidence this coaching staff Knows what it’s doing - last years NFL Draft is proof in the pudding. I couldn’t say that prior to lil Nicky.

Think Josh White. Almost identical in High School highlights.

The mark of maturity is understanding your own limitations and adapting to that reality.
If the coaches believed his future was safety, he would have been there. You have got to trust your leaders enough to allow them to put you in the position to succeed.
He could have gained weight, bulked and found his way into the rotation and started by his Junior year. He refused, so now he could end up burning a year with limited development.
Kids...they all learn eventually. Some quicker than others.
Best of luck Marcel. Wish you well.

As a five star we loved him, now he sucks. If he returns he'll be great again. You people are painful.

Bo P hasn't run a defense since 2007. we have to see how his scheme works in 2020 before he gets this sort of credit

that was his role with Aranda
Bo P completely changed the role and put him at MLB, right?

Lots of stupid in this thread. This is a big loss of talent. Kid can play. Hope it is not a done deal.

I mean if he’s complaining about playing LB when we’ve just put two consecutive LBs in the first round, then I don’t know what to say.
We just had a QB taken #1 overall. What if they made him play QB? Would it be ok to complain?

I think his position was still rather fluid. We didn’t have a full spring so see how Pelini planned to use him.

i just don't see Bo P as that kind of guy. he's old school
if this were basketball he'd be coaching midrange jumpers and relying on post scoring
