Between the coaches, the video guys, and the student interns, they should be.

They’ll watch tape and get a scouting report on them, but they’re not preparing for them like they are for Gonzaga’s Alex whatever his name is.

Given Hilliard and Marceaux’s different pitching styles, there’s quite a difference in preparing for one vs the other.

Pitch Marceaux on Friday. The only way Gonzaga beats LSU is if you walk a bunch of guys. Marceaux won’t do that. Get to 1-0 and get ready for Saturday night.

This. All of this.

Marceaux also brings a killer bulldog mentality to the game. If we're gonna make some noise, the team needs to feed off that.

Yes, of course they are.

That's how a regional works.

No way..... he brings Mike the Tiger mentality with an appetite for biting out the side of the progressive liberal Oregon ducks so we can host a Super Regional

Not even the Aflac duck will be able to save them

Paul wants to start lefties. Gio, Morgan, Beloso at DH, and… Safford at 2B.

They are putting together reports on each teams' entire staff and probably cutting film on likely starters and top relievers. Now players are only focusing on the game in front of them.

Look up their pitcher’s stats and it’s pretty easy to understand. Do you start Beloso, Sanford or Drost?

Does their ace have a good slider? Good curve?
Bianco and Arnold both struggle against that type pitcher.
So does Thompson and Milazzo for that matter, but they have to play.

Gio being back makes it seem likely that Bianco goes back to 2nd with Arnold at DH.
If it’s anything else, I will be angry.

Side note, I wish we would put either Gio or Jordan in the 9 hole. It would be a full season too late, but Paul has to have a somewhat competent guy to get on base in front of our best hitters. Most of his career coaching here, he had a better 9 hole hitter than 8 hole to set up the top of the order. Its as good as time as any to end his career here.

I dont think its the worst idea, but ive personally gotten comfortable with our 1-5 with arnold being 5th.

Do you have Crews moving back to 3 im guessing?

From what I saw a couple weeks ago; Beloso, believe it or not, is terrible against righties and decent against lefties. His sample size against lefties was small though.
