Wilson Alexander also reported that Gavin Dugas is close to 100%.

I don’t think it’s a surprise Marceaux is pitching Friday. It’s already a long shot to win the regional and it is nearly impossible with this pitching staff to win out of the losers bracket.

Why come out and say it tho? At least keep Gonzaga in the dark for a couple of days

I thought you could go either way Marceaux / Hilliard the first 2 games, they have both pitched elite the last month. Something about Hilliard in bigger games had me slightly preferring him in game 2.
Gio being back makes it seem likely that Bianco goes back to 2nd with Arnold at DH.

What is the difference in knowing who the starter is now vs 2 days from now? All three potential starters are right handed so it’s not like they may have to worry about lefty/righty matchups.

Glad to hear Gio will be back. This team is much better with him in the lineup.

This regional is very winnable neither Oregon or Gonzaga are elite. A little consistency at the plate and LSU can take this. Except LSU hasn’t been consistent at the plate for the three days in a row.

LSU has three starters capable of beating each team in this regional.

Paul is playing with house money when he crosses up Gonzaga and runs Ma’Khalil out there Friday night.

Makes sense. All the people who say but but it doesn’t matter if you lose the first game or the 1-0 don’t get the mental aspect of winning the first game. You need to start the regional on a good note. If you win on Friday you can settle in and play ball. This team especially doesn’t need the pressure of losing on Friday and thinking their season is over.

Pitch Marceaux on Friday. The only way Gonzaga beats LSU is if you walk a bunch of guys. Marceaux won’t do that. Get to 1-0 and get ready for Saturday night.

Gonzaga is preparing for and thinking about all three of our weekend starters, and probably also thinking about Helmers and some of our relievers.

You have to in a tournament. You don't have time to wait until you learn who is pitching, You prepare for everyone ahead of time.

Good. Oregon's ballpark plays big we'll need his speed out in CF.

Or if we dont score runs. I think 5 or 6 runs beats Gonzaga with Marceaux on the mound.

I never understood this.

If you win the first game, and then you win the 1-0 game, you are in great position. You have to do both.

If you are going to lose a game, it doesn't matter which one you lose... and our bullpen, I don't think, can pitch us through those two extra games.

You have to do whatever you can to get to Sunday at 2-0. And the first thing is to win Friday.

Not anymore.. which kinda proves my point.

Maybe it is indeed a head fake from ole Paul and he rolls the boozie fade out there Friday night. Doubt it

Of course they are... because they know they might see LSU again on Sunday or Monday.

That kinda proves my point.

No they’re not. At least not nearly on the same level as they are preparing for Marceaux.

Do you think LSU is preparing for all three teams’ top 3 starters right now?
