I like it. I've been pretty critical of CPM and his pitching moves. But, this move makes absolute sense. He's shuffling up the lineup to get the best bats in there. Not only at the plate, but once I saw Dawson have that Olay error. I knew CPM had seen enough

Dawson looked by far completely lost. 5 K's and a GiDP in 7 AB against some of the worst pitching he'll see all year. Kid is a major major project at the plate for Cannz

Maybe he should pull a Ben Simmons and switch his dominant hand and hit from the left side.

Or maybe he should bat 11th in the lineup .

Even though Dawson was terrible at the plate last weekend, I still think think it's a little early to give up on him.

Going 0 for 7 is one thing if you're having good at bats and putting the ball in play. But he really looked lost out there.

I swear, baseball players get the weirdest injuries.

pitchers, man. an injury on the throwing hand is lethal for awhile. ben McDonald used to get blisters a lot and had to sit 'em out.

Romero played 1B at Catholic a lot while Coomes (an LSU commit for next season) caught. Jordan can play first.

some improve - stevenson - batted less than 200 as a freshmen, think kramer will surprise! he is the team leader also - even when he is not playing

Kramer is not a team leader. Not even close.

All summer and fall I heard about Dawson's.

" he's a natural talent"
"Austin Nola all over again"
"Web gem magnet"

And I know it's only the first weekend. But color me not impressed.

Didn't Austin Nola sit at the beginning of his Freshman year? And didn't he hit .240 on the season?

with CPM clearly ready to make changes based on lack of production, I have a gut feeling that by next week at this time Kramer and Bryce Jordan might be sitting in favor of Romero and Adams if they perform against Sac St and Lamar like they did this weekend.

I feel like Bryce Jordan is alot further from being out of the lineup than people think. His stats weren't pretty, but he finds ways on base. Scrappy guy.

BUT, I think people a premature on Kramer. It's not so much that Dawson was 0-7 that got him benched, it's how overmatched he looked. Honestly, that's how Kramer has looked in the past, but he looks much better this year. He's gotten stronger and has had better plate appearances. People will always be skeptical of Kramer, but I think he can hit above .250 if given the chance.

Dawson looked lost at the plate and I think he only had 2 hits combined in all of the Spring scrimmages. The 0-7 with 5 Ks on top of the very poor hitting in the Spring got him benched.

Kramer was one of the top hitters in the Spring. He may end up hitting below .250 again, but his significantly improved performance at the plate in the Spring is the main reason why Coach is giving him a longer leash than Dawson.

Too bad this is the regular season at LSU now and not another league. He's a junior, supposed to lead. It's not just when he's at plate, he cannot run the bases, as we saw Sunday getting thrown out trying to steal. Hasn't proved himself at LSU since he arrived here. Too much talent behind him.

Take this for what it's worth but 3 weeks ago I had a short conversation with Alden Cartwright. At one point in the conversation I asked him who the team leader is this year.

I assumed he was going to say Jake Fraley but without hesitating even a split second he said, "Kramer Robertson."

Sounds like AC basically guaranteed that KRob is the leader...
