He wasn't "preparing the fanbase."

PM was saying that TO Dawson via the media to help the kid relax and not feel like every swing of the bat would be his last if he didn't get a hit.

We are too young for there not to be changes. The sooner we find the right mix, the better. Dawson wasn't close. His ABs were nothing like Pap's or even KRob's who was at least putting it in play.

We're talking about two different things. I have no problem with the coach doing what he thinks is best. What I find funny is the numerous interviews of him basically preparing the fanbase for a SS who won't hit well only to take him out when... he doesn't hit well. I don't get why he pretended that hitting wasn't that important

Well it's not like he was exactly flawless in the field this weekend either. If you're going to be a defensive shortstop and a liability at the plate then you damn well better make the easy plays if you want to see the field.

I'm not worried about pap at all. He looked comfortable at the plate and squared up more than a couple balls beautifully. He keeps swinging the bat like that and they'll start falling eventually. I don't know if I realized how much pop he had.

His power is from the left side. He scorched a few from over there.

Is Freeman a better SS than Kramer? Is it the arm strength?

I actually like Freeman at 3B. It's a good spot for him. I'd move KRob to SS and let Lochridge settle in at 2B.

I would like to see Freeman at 2B, Kramer at SS and Lochridge at 3B. I think Freeman and Kramer have the most range out of the three and I think Kramer is the best defensively out of the three.

I dont care where he plays, but Lochridge needs to be in the lineup.

I think we will see some shuffling around pretty soon if some players don't pick it up. BUT, I think people a premature on Kramer. It's not so much that Dawson was 0-7 that got him benched, it's how overmatched he looked. Honestly, that's how Kramer has looked in the past, but he looks much better this year. He's gotten stronger and has had better plate appearances. People will always be skeptical of Kramer, but I think he can hit above .250 if given the chance.

Which Jordan twin plays LF? If it's Bryce, I can see moving Diechmann to LF to make room for Romero at 1B. I think that move would be made before Breaux is given a shot.

Where do you people come up with these positions?

Diechmann is one of the more athletic players on the team, and someone said Romero played 1B in high school. If Romero is going to be in the lineup it's either at 1B or DH.

Woffard has a really good bat and he needs to get some playing time this year. I don't think he will be a full time starter but he should get a good number of at bats this year.

I'm getting flashbacks of Josh Dalton. Followed a legend and wasn't half of the hype he came with.

Its Beau and i dont see them moving him. He has done well at the position. They will probably play the lefty righty matchup with Greg

Beau playing LF...JC transfers really showed up this past weekend...Diechman crushed a ball, as did Lockridge...CPM got some tuff decisions going forward, but I guess that's why SEC play doesn't start for another month...
