LSU needs to tell their coaches they cannot finish the season with Ole Miss.

He’s a great player just not necessarily a fit in lane’s offense so they may not break the bank to keep him

Hankton if hired at Ohio State could cause a lot of sweating.

Mascona was raving about how massive this was!

Yes, massive in more than one way. It’s not just about money, it’s also about brand, name recognition, etc.

LSU maybe a pilot school but Oregon/Phil Knight has a ton of “Nike” NIL athletes. Uncle Phil/Nike fund everything at that school whether above board or under the table.

If we lose him I'd be shocked. He's our star player, a freak athlete who produces on the field, he's homegrown and the most marketable player currently on the team. He should be able to get from LSU the same thing he'd get from any other schools in the country.

Well I honestly didn’t think much of it at the time because I didn’t know this was even in question… but Sunday night (24 hours after the Texas bowl)… I saw Frank Wilson and Trey’dez Green at Drago’s in Perkins Rowe. They were kind of in a back corner table and it was just the 2 of them. Definitely interesting now that I am seeing he is in question!

TDG is not in the portal so what you are saying is Frank Wilson is tampering with LSU’s roster

I hope you are just BSing here because if you are being honest then this is a pretty big deal

That's funny..the day LSU announced the NIL Nike deal, Mascona was raving about how massive this was!

Oh don’t get me wrong, he definitely overplayed it when it first happened. I think he got caught up in the name and didn’t have any real details yet. It’s good for LSU and athletes of lesser sports, but a deal like that isn’t big enough to keep a guy like Trey’Dez from looking around. I’m not a MM fan, I just know what to listen for when he talks and what to ignore.

Pull them tomorrow morning. Send a limo to New Orleans and tell Golding good luck

Him and DJ Pickett just signed exclusive Nike NIL deals with LSU….why the frick would he leave after getting his dream deal

According to Mascona, if he is to be believed these deals are not big numbers only 5 figures.

Who cares. If he leaves, he leaves the Nike deal too. If they want him that bad for 6 red zone rds, fine.
Well find another to throw the cash at.
But OM is a huge gamble. No telling who wont be there next year

I heard like five figures. Easily covered by another school.

I mean, Green doesn’t fit into a Kiffin offense and we couldn’t do much with him except a fade in the end zone. It won’t be that big of a deal if we end up having a remotely competent offense.

said OM is trying to throw a ton of money at him.. anyone have any word on this

This is the problem w portal and “no cap”. Any school can basically get into someone’s ear w an absurd offer and get them to resent their current school.
