Who ran a better offense last season? Who going to run a better offense next season? Lanes offense will showcase a talent like Green. Not even close.

He will be open way more in Lanes offense.

Lane’s system has moved to having more prototypical inline blocking TEs. So if LSU pays TreDez it may mean they’ll value him as a WR. There are likely to be plenty of WRs in the portal you can get for the kind of money he will likely command. Thus, it becomes about fit and business—and he may find more opportunity elsewhere. It is what it is. Love the player but he’s been very erratic in terms of his hands and blocking, so we can’t be upset if the new regime doesn’t value him as much as the market.

14 played WR this year. Sharp was the TE. I don’t care what he was listed as in program.

The recent Nike deals for LSU athletes are not huge $ deals. I believe I heard they are 5 figure deals.

I don't know yet....but I'm going to trust that we will have a pretty good qb, with Lane and a $30m warchest.

Man I love how nationally recognizable and powerful the LSU brand is. I’ll bet Ole Miss doesn’t have a deal like that with Nike.

I spent most of my life travelling with the oilfield and an LSU ballcap gets positive feedback all over the country. Even in Central Asia but that was due to all the southern boys building pipelines.

You’re a moron if you let a talent like Green walk.
Green is replaceable. A good O Line, and Passrushing Stout Defensive Line are non-negotiables to making a Championship push.

He’s very much not “replaceable”. You could argue he’s a luxury, but he’s the biggest mismatch on the field, so that’s not something you just let walk without doing everything you can to keep him.

What would stop the Nike players from going to Oregon

As others have said, TreyDez loves where he is and doesn't want to leave and has said such during his interviews. He's LSU through and through. It would take a Bryce Underwood deal to even consider it and I don't think that's going to happen.

Thank God the staff understands the importance of a talent like Green more than y'all do.

This is true

This is misleading. He wants to paid at his value. And if LSU wouldn’t get to it then he would go somewhere that will. However, I’ve been told that LSU is now meeting his number, so it’s a moot point.

He had a monster bowl game, but throughout the season dropped some easy passes. I want him to stay, but not at the expense of the whole damn team.

If he leaves, Lane will get another TE and develop him.

Treydez played for us this year, and we went 7-6. Ole Miss didnt have Trey Dez, and they went 11-1

Their TE had more catches and more yards and probably way less crucial drops
