Paul looked like he was about to blow away in his last season with LSU.

I’m guessing he finally ditched that crappy My Pillow and his neck feels better.

Paul like any coach fell off a bit in the end but some of you guys act like he was an awful coach. Insane… he is a legend

Nolan Cain and luck brought Bregman and Crews to LSU, along with the history built by Bertman. The ‘leprechaun’ had little to do with it. Bregs broke his hand causing his draft stock to fall, and COVID cut draft opportunities for players such as Crews.

Some "fans" on this site are truly pathetic. He was a great coach. Its damn hard to win a National championship now!

I don’t get the hate for PM. How many coaches retire at the top of their game?

He had a great career here and a lot of our fans think we should still be winning titles like the 90s. It’s a different game now.

So you’re saying LSU is on the same level as those programs?

You lost when Mainieri took advantage of your woman as you sat there and watched in the corner

I’m thankful for what he did for lsu because when he took over from laval this program was in the toilet

With that said he did not have this team capable of keeping up in sec in 2020 and 2021 and really after 2017 they were not in the top tier of sec teams

The way he left the pitching for last years team was embarrassing

Knowing him it probably eats at him a little that Jay got them back to Omaha this quick

If he wants back in at Miami it’s to redeem himself and in the acc he will do fine because it’s not near as competitive top to bottom in that conference

He mailed it in for a couple years after 09, he even admitted it himself. He began hiring former yes-men players as coaches. His tenure was over the minute Florida beat us in 17.

Mainieri made TWO decent runs at a title in his entire time here. LSU was never close to sniffing a title outside of 09 and 17.

Not surprisingly most of our fans are willingly able to swallow mediocre results. It’s all the bootlickers have ever known from cradle to grave.
