No question but there were a lot of people on that field. I wouldn't think it would have been unusual for him to be down there especially congratulating kids he brought into the program like Dylan.

Oh you meant on the field field. Yes I agree. Thought you meant like tv coverage.

He's one of the 6 coaches in LSU history that have won a national title in a big 3 sport.

Ask Arkansas how much they'd appreciate a natty.

He did less with more than any coach of his era. Dominated Hoover though, gotta give him that.

I’m sure you hold your career to the same standard.

He led us to six consecutive national seeds (2012-17) which has been done only one other time (Stanford 99-04).

He was a damn national seed 60% of his time at LSU. With 5 Omaha appearances, 5 super regional championships, and 9 regional championships.

How can you not respect that level of consistency considering the rise in popularity/investment in recent years and the fact that it’s fricking baseball.

Season Endings:
1 Title
1 runner-up
3 CWS Appearances (top 8)
4 Super Regionals (top 16)
3 Regional Appearances (w/ losses to UCLA (champion) & UCLA (runner-up)
2 No postseason appearance (includes 1st year)
1 Covid Year

His peers put him in college baseball's HOF. Safe to say they know a hell of a lot more about his resume' than any of the haters here. And the SEC & college baseball as a whole that Paul faced was 10 times harder than the relatively few teams Skip dominated & that's not to take anything away from Skip.

He won the same amount of national championships as the coach at Fresno St. and Coastal Carolina. Haha.

You’re charmin soft. Facts hurt your feelings.

Just because he autographed your LSU crocs doesn’t mean he knew or liked you, broooooo.

Marinara cursed us with a bunch of 5’7 160 infielders who couldn’t get the ball out the dirt. It was embarrassing. Team rule was you couldn’t be taller than marinara.

The game and parks had changed. Maineri was adjusting to small ball being king during a timeframe.
