The X Factor is how we finish in the transfer portal. We have 6-7 open spots and we need to fill them with impact guys on defense.
1 CB
1 S
1 MLB
1 Edge
1 DT
1 C
Atleast. There’s a ridiculous amount of talent in the portal let’s reel them in.

Saturday night and the lights are bright
Looking out for a score to go
Where they play the right call, getting in the swing
You come to look for a king
Anybody could be that guy

No need to be a jerk to the guy.

I think LEDs in TS would look awesome. I wasn't a fan of it at first but the more I see it in other stadiums, it looks pretty cool.

I don't care about "oh we're trying to be like ________" Times change. It's not like the LEDs will be on the entire game. The lights that are there aren't bad for regular illumination for the game but If Tiger Stadium is rocking and we get some purple LEDs over the entire crowd during a tv commercial break or a TD or something and it fires up the crowd even more, and potential recruits, that's awesome.

Dominant at end of year center (Chester?)

Love the enthusiasm Chief BUT LSU fans need to realize that having 2 Freshmen start on the Oline was like winning the lottery — TWICE in the same year!

Expecting another Freshman OLineman (Heard or Chester) to come into the Program, Start & be Dominant their 1st year will likely NEVER happen again at LSU. Especially the Year after having 2 True Freshmen Tackles be your starters.

(Maason Smith) He is the only player mentioned who we did not have last season

NFL fans, who watch college, always make the mistake of thinking next year’s edition of a player is the same as last year’s. These are kids who are rapidly changing.

A great example is Dellinger, who was getting manhandled as a freshman but was a very competent lineman the very next year.

Perkins was an obvious talent, but he didn’t know enough to play half the snaps last year. He should be a much bigger force next year - not necessarily more impactful when he’s on the field, just in that he’ll be on the field more.

This is the best point you made. We need someone to fill Ojulari’s role or else teams will account for Perkins and have all day.

You also pointed out that we need a step up at QB. I think last year’s JD was good enough to take next year’s team to a NY6 game, and maybe the playoffs, but if we are going to win it we need an improvement there.

Harold Perkins. Gonna need to wreak havoc on the QB as much as possible given how thin we are at every position.

It’s Daniels or nobody on offense. It’ll be Perkins and Smith on defense. We get a whole offseason for all 3 to get better.

There’s far more talent on this team than that.

Despite my concern with his lack of aggressiveness in the passing game the easy answer is JD. If he learns to trust himself and his receivers the offense will be dynamic. If he can start making plays over the top and improve with timing throws, that coupled with his running ability will make him a nightmare to defend.

Defensively Perkins is a human x-factor. One more season in the S&C program and House will find more ways to move him around. He's capable of delivering game changing plays every week.

JD5's consistency in the passing game. We all know how dynamic he is running the ball..... but if we are gonna make a playoff run,no more 80 yard passing games.

When Cincy’s run game is going well, Burrow doesn’t throw for much yards at all.

Since so many people are talking about what we need I will saybwhatbIbthinknosnonenofnour weakest positions. Offensive coordinator. Now we maybe stuck with him for a few more years.
Second year with JD.
Why get rid of what Nuss knows for year 2 unless there is a gem Kelly wants.
3rd year probably bringing in portal guy need someone he wants.
