The games are not great experiences for me anymore. I'm in the South Stadium Club and as nice is it is there the stadium experience is well annoying. When did the cheerleaders, players, Golden girls, TGBFTL, and players stop being enough to go see the games? Why do we need to listen to a rock concert between EVERY BREAK IN PLAY?

Bottom line it’s embarrassing the way the crowd is now. Don’t go to the game if you are going to leave at halftime or mid way through 3rd. Makes no sense and spare me with the traffic bs.

But you are correct, it use to be fun to hear the band. They use to play real music and not just musical cheers.

I have 2 season tickets in south end zone, but I’ve been selling them to a friend for the last couple of years due to financial constraints. This year I was finally able to afford them again so I’ve been bringing one of my kids to each game. I will tell you that the cost of being at the game has to be a factor to the crowd issues. I have yet to spend less than $200-$300 per game just on 2 people getting a few souvenirs and food and drink. It’s unbelievably expensive to go to the game. The tickets and parking prices are actually not that bad for the season. It’s the food, drink, and merch that is pricing everyone out.

The reason people are leaving early is they are sick of pathetic play, this year it’s the offense, which makes watching the game so unpleasant. Like the Miles’ final years, Kelly is sucking the fun out of football. The in-game experience is no longer engaging for fans with this screeching noise called music instead of the old fan favorites that had us singing along with the band. Put this in with the growing vulgarity instead of cheering in our traditional LSU enthusiasm. Add into the equation that ticket prices are ridiculously expensive sapping more of the fun of being a fan. Then you have the worst concessions and you get a deflated fanbase. And you wonder why the fanbase feels disconnected to the experience?

You have 100,000 people packing into what is essentially a residential neighborhood and one side’s exit is blocked by a massive river. There is very little they can do to make everyone happy.
You have to help yourself. Make a plan. Park where it allows you to get where you need to get going in the most efficient manner. Accept there will be some level of traffic.
I've been to nearly every stadium in the sec. Traffic is an issue at all of them.

I don't disagree 100%, but people have been complaining about it since when I was there in the mid 00s and it wasn't THAT different then. It isn't just LSU either. Say what you will but there are only a handful of schools more successful than us over the last 25 years and I'd say we all have similar issues.

Half empty? C'mon bro. It ain't what it was, and never will be again. But, it's still Tiger MF'N Stadium. Last night was against a not quite mediocre, not quite great team, with no rivalry to speak of. This team is all too often infuriating to watch try and execute the offense, they've done a million things to take away from a lot of the stuff that made it so special. And I have plenty of complaints to speak on. The crowd last night was rocking like it was a tight sec ballgame. Infuriated and annoyed and all. But, they went hard and we ain't gotta worry about being Davis Wade, or whatever the Indian word is for shitty. Holler back at me 2 weeks from today after we beat A&M and let me know about the atmosphere. We all know what it is. You're either 12 or you just went to your first, maybe second game.

I blame tv and the 4 min commercials and games being four hours long. I used to go to every game and stay until the end. But now I find my couch and tv to be a much better option

What a complete load of bullshite. I’ve had tickets since 1992, and fans have always left early. Especially the student section.

I stayed til the alma mater after the game. The first half itself felt so god damn long, so many tv and injury timeouts. Add a messy offensive performance and people just lose interest.
