Probably because they've put LSU in purples before and it didn't work out for them. The only Miss St victories over LSU since 1991 have come when LSU was wearing its traditional whites.

I always think of the "white out" game thing originating at Penn State, and they most definitely do not wear white jerseys at home for White Out games, so there is that.

That’s how bad arse we are this year. We wear white on their home field whiteout.
