They’re honoring all the teams she coached with many former players in the final minutes of halftime. Not sure if it will be broadcast.

I doubt the sellout has much to do with Sue Gunther.

It wasn't quite sold out. But it was a near full crowd.

I never really liked her name on the court but I remember her tenure highly so whatever...then they put up the graphic...2... 2 conference championships. Weak

Again...she's a great. Love that her statue is on the concourse of the PMAC...but you only have one court to name... TS Field doesn't even have a name after over 100 years of football. Getting close to hardware shouldn't get your name on a court.. just my opinio

Well how about:
1980-HEAD COACH U.S. Olympic Team
1983-National Coach of the Year
2000-Women's Basketball Hall of Fame
2005-Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame
2005-NAISMITH Basketball Hall of Fame

She was a pioneer for Women's Basketball and if it wasn't for bad health, I would bet she would have led LSU to a National Championshp. Just my opinion.

All reasons I love that her statue is standing in the PMAC.... again you only get 1 court, to dedicate to (normally unless you're LSU) one person in your entire history. Give it to a legend who's brought your program to the promise land or leave it unnamed until someone does.

Fwiw I don't think Dale's name should be on it either. Or even Mulkey YET. Again just my opinion

That said TYFYS Sue.... you were a great for sure!

I would probably agree there...not real sure why we decided to slap his name on there either..both seemed forced and I don't know why.

Did someone hold a gun to woods hesd and say NAME THIS COURT NOW!
