Auburn exposed that Ensminger and Brady can adjust to what they are seeing. They adapted throughout the game and put us into position to score time and time again.

Hopefully they learned from the poor short yardage play calls at the goal line and also when we went for it on 4th down and failed.

Those two possessions, called differently, could have made it a 37-20 game. I expect they make different calls when faced with a similar situation in the future.

I agree. shite, if we get to the 10 yard line I would rather just chunk up 4 fade routes to Sullivan or Marshall. No way in hell that they don't win atleast one of those battles

we still had 500+ yards of offense. We just didn't do well in the redzone. We also had close to 200yds rushing. Auburn didn't expose shite.

Red zone playcalling and short yardage is what caused the low point totals.

and part of the short yard problem was the field imo.

We were exposed into putting up over 500 yards of offense on what is regarded as maybe the best defense in the conference.

Had we converted in the red zone or would have a blowout.

Game wasn’t as close as score indicated IMO

LSU beats Auburn on a neutral field 10/10

Yep, Florida was way closer than Auburn and we won by two touchdowns.

Bama has a much better offense than UF and better secondary. Bama and LSU are very similar teams. I don't think either team has a significant advantage over the other.

Bama has the advantage between the 20s and LSU is better in the red zone. If we let Bama have 2 or 3 big plays for touchdowns, Bama will win. If LSU does not allow a big play, LSU wins. That's my oversimplified version.

When you have veteran defensive coordinators creating a new scheme just for you, that's when you know something special is going on. Kevin Steele has been coaching football since 1980. He's seen it all. But for LSU's offense he had to come up with a 3-1-7.

It was a smart game plan and it was well executed but it still didn't work. LSU moved the ball up and down the field but settled for field goals.

If Saban tries some kind of whacky 3-1-7 then LSU will rush for 200 yards.

So he got a couple transfers on the DL last week? Cause that's what made the difference. Against again, it's not like auburn really stopped lsu. Lsu had an off day and still managed to roll up over 500 yards.

Lsu is going to allow a big play, or two. That's stupid. Key is to match their big plays and get an extra stop or 2.

I get where you are going with that, but the reason Saban wont use that alignment is because he can't.

He doesnt have a plethora of 2-gap defensive linemen that it takes to use that front. He especially doesn't have the centerpiece which that front hinges on.

Eh, we put up 500 yards

We left 7 points in the field on missed PATs and going for it on 4th instead of taking a chip shot

We could have been better in the redzone but also we were more inclined to go for it given the fact that we felt 0 threat from their offense.

At least 7. Also had the td pass that was intended for chase(?) and knocked down by marshal(?).

Exactly “prideful” has nothing to do with it.
The only thing that matters to him is
The result: a W

No one says we were exposed if we punch it in on the goal line or if chase doesn’t tip the pass intended for Marshall. Auburn had a good scheme but the score fits the narrative that “LSU was exposed”.
