Yep. And the other question I wonder is why are our O-linemen always hurt? I get that it’s a physical position but it’s hard to develop unity and cohesion when multiple guys miss several games every year. Not to beat a dead horse but I’d be curious how many games Bama’s O-linemen have missed. Deer antler I guess

The oline for the bama game was damn near what everyone projected at the start of the season. They got manhandled. That was our starters. Not backups or freshmen.

Last year we lost Malone, Teuhema, and Weathersby for large portions of the season. Who were out only returning starters.

And we played 2 TRUE freshmen a majority of the season, and we Had a better OL.

Wasn't one of your guys big selling points before the season that we finally had a quality offensive line with depth? I believe the phrase used was "Coach finally shored up both lines."

Isn't it funny how the narrative is constantly changing?

"Last year's class was so low because he filled needs on the line, got JUCO guys to come in and play immediately, and solved all the depth issues."

That's what we were fed as the excuse for the lowest recruiting ranking in years.

Now, that story seems to have totally changed.

seriously? You can't read the subject line?

And if you could do that and figure out how to click the link provided you may even read about another starter who got into legal trouble.

Jesus man. It's like dealing with 5 year olds who you know are capable but they are just to hardheaded to put forth an iota of effort or thought.

#7 team in the country. Must be horrible for you.

ETA: Had to correct the ranking from 9 to 7. My bad, I made the post before being aware of the new CFP rankings that came out tonight.

Thanks derik. Trying to squeeze some positive things outta this board is like milking a cactus.

I'm glad to know we don't have just Thomas coming. I'll have to look into ware and rosenthal. I don't trust a converted defensive line guy though.

Either way, this is comforting to know we're doing work on fixing the line issues which is clearly the cause of our two losses to anyone who's actually played football and understands it.

Weathersby missed 1 or 2 games. Lol

“Large portions”

When Malone got hurt that became an upgrade.

My God. Go look at all the posts exclaiming how LSU played one team last year. Everybody LSU played fired their coach or had a losing record and then fired their coach.

then look at this year's schedule.

Put a little effort into this.

Still haven't heard your response about the dline and depth and still being extremely underwhelming... 0 recruits this year so far and they haven't been a force the whole time he's been here...

Charles messes 3 games VS nobodies.

Lewis was supposed to be our best OL and he’s older than Ingram.

Magee was in a position battle up until gametimea but we count him as an injured starter

Well, if we had this depth you spoke of, what's the issue?

You literally put this as the first line of your post.
quote:

For those who don't want to read the details: LSU returned 2 linemen with multiple starts and just 3 with any starts at all. All three got hurt, so we're playing underclassmen and JUCOs. Building an offensive line from scratch takes time

Why do I need to read the article when you put that? And again, I thought O shored up the depth.

how anyone could sit here and say that our depth has not been flexed is baffling. Even for people who constantly hate everything that happens.

The ranter narrative and real life are not the same thing.

The article is not a story it is a bunch of facts compiled into one written piece. It is not an excuse nor is it bragging about being the #7 team in the country.

It is what it is.
