I believe it was reported that Sankey amended his lawsuit partly at least due to Kiffin's half time comment to Holly Rowe, "imagine if we played pro players" and implied this was akin to the loss of institutional control. Well! If Rousse told Sanky BEFORE the game that LSU was going to comply by not adding or playing these players, how the hell can Sankey prove that Kiffin's remarks were evidence of lack of institutional control! Rouse's notification of compliance came from the top guy at the institution, and it was supported by Kiffin's action of not involving these players in any capacity. Should Kiffin not be allowed to a certain freedom of speech comment while being in compliance and being institutionally controlled under the direction of Rousse? Sankey just exposed himself as a power monger here with a clear bias against both LSU and Kiffin. For that, Sankey should have to resign.

Also on September 8, 2026, I received notice of the special President's and Chancellor's meeting scheduled for tomorrow, September 10, 2026. At no point has LSU ever threatened to upset the meeting. But to be clear,
LSU will not challenge, disrupt or seek to cancel or postpone this meeting. This issue is also moot.
What’s this about?
My guess is that Sankey’s been selective with information he’s been sharing with the other President's and Chancellor's.
Sankey is worried LSU is coordinating a counterattack behind the scenes, so he makes more threats towards LSU. Rousse’s response was to moot Sankey again.

I like Rousse more and more

“The issue is moot” or “moot” is going to end up on billboards or LSU sports advertising of some capacity, I’m sure

Rousse is letting everyone know. Sankey knew last Friday afternoon
Which is exactly why all of this was just posturing from the SEC and trying out the self governance piece of it.

Am I wrong in saying the SEC League vote to get the authority to expel LSU is moot too? It's been scheduled for mind morning or so,

And why he stayed "silent" the last couple days, to the chagrin of people like Finebaum and some other university presidents.
It's helps highlight Sankey being a bitch.

It was literally in the amendment.

It’s also important to note he said “took everything I had in me not to say what if we had pro players” to a friendly reporter he thought he was off air with.
