Rest your minds Tiger fans. We are 9-1 since 2010 in 11am games. So TN fans are happy they got us in the early morning instead of at night in Tiger Stadium. The LSU Tigers play great at home in 11am games. Welcome to our stingy defense to Hooker line and sinker !!

TN also hasn't beaten LSU in 17 years. And on a 5 game losing streak.

90% of 11am games are cupcake opponents. I’m not saying we can’t or won’t win but this isn’t even close to your average 11am kickoff

This should be obvious, but to the posters here it isn’t.

Yeah we’ve played sec opponents. But most of the time they were games we were supposed to win. We’re now a prime time top 25 game that’s playing in a not prime time time slot which is rarely the case

The last time we beat Alabama at home was a day game for sure, and I think it might have been 11AM. I don't remember exactly.

What about the 2008 App State game that was hurriedly switched to the AM start so everyone could get the hell out of Dodge!

Really none of them were cupcakes. Syracuse and Vandy weren't great teams the years we played them, but they were road games and P5 teams, so not cupcakes.

It’s not at all obvious. Cupcakes are almost always night games.

I saw the list, and those are NOT cupcakes. They are generally bottom half of the SEC teams, or similar.

8 of 10 are SEC games
9 of 10 are Power 5 opponents

From the pre-game notes:
quote:

LSU enters the Tennessee contest having won four straight and 13 of its last 14 games in Tiger Stadium against SEC Eastern Division foes.

The streak dates back to the Tennessee win in 2010 with the 16-10 setback to Florida in 2016 serving as the only loss during that span.
