LSU Has Had a Player Drafted Top 5 Overall Three Years in a Row - DSJ Could Make It Four

2019 Draft - Devin White #5
2020 Draft - Joe Burrow #1
2021 Draft - Ja'Marr Chase #5
No other program can say this (at least for the last three years). Not only elite talent coming out of LSU but these guys are clearly NFL ready. I hope our recruiting staff is making this known to prospects.
This trend could continue with Derrick Stingley, Jr. who is projected as high as #3 in early mock drafts. In 2023, Boutte has solid chance to go top 10, and Ricks has high draft potential. Can we continue this trend into 2022 and and 2023?

Every team that passes on Derek Stingley Jr will regret it forever. He's got NFL hall of fame written all over him.

Nahhhhh they are just going to ignore this. I have never seen LSU talk about their draft history or promote former players that are in the NFL. Should come up with some cool name thing that combines NFL and LSU or something. Would be super awesome.

Pretty neat that only one of those guys ended up being a complete and absolute bust and the rest have had decent to good careers so far.

I bet Stingley does not go top 5. LSU fans have him overrated. He’s a great player, but I don’t expect top 10. If he cleans some stuff up I think he could work his way higher, but not based on what he’s shown so far.
