Yeah I don't hate the gold jersey. Would probably go with either purple or white pants, though, just so you don't have the same color head to toe. Not the worst look though. Honestly, I think our white jerseys with gold pants look freaking amazing, though. The update to the shoulder striping and the bright yellow really freaking pop on TV this year. Really looks good. Easily a top 3, if not best overall, uniform in college football.

I don't think it is top 3 in the nation (for change of pace uniforms), but is something different and IMO fairly good looking and is eye catching. For some reason our fans don't like when we change up the uniforms, even if it is just for a game or two here and there.

I think it’s hilarious to read all the “stick to tradition” comments. When Dietzel changed to the brighter yellow color and our modern day traditional uniform, we wore this exact uniform.

For our jerseys, the shade of purple is far lighter than in the past, the shoulder stripes change almost annually, the pant stripes have added a yellow inner stripe and have gotten much thicker than in the past, and the jersey number font has completely changed.
Change happens, folks. I'm an old-school guy too and fully appreciate tradition, but it's good to freshen things up, while not going down the Oregon-style path.
ETA: I'd even argue that the yellow has gotten brighter since the 70s, when it looked a bit more mustard-colored.

Call me crazy, but I like it best of any of the mostly/all gold uni looks I’ve seen at LSU. Traditional white jersey, gold pants and head gear still best look for Tigers.
