You and a few others in this thread admitted to cheering for LSU to lose this season. You have no business posting here.
You have to break a few eggs to make an omelette. If you can’t see that McMahon isn’t the answer, then you are beyond any help I can provide.
I don’t recall seeing you post in the last 5 or 6 in-game threads. Why was that?

In a sport where rosters are overhauled year to year, LSU has a guy who still thinks it’s 2015…at Murray St.
I’m no McMahon fan and believe we’re spinning our wheels. Think the chances he can turn it around are super slim with what we’ve witnessed to date. My last sliver of hope is that he didn’t know what he was getting himself into and made a lot of sophomoric bad decisions like this that are incongruent with the modern game. Maybe just maybe, with his back against the wall, he puts it together and demonstrates why they hired him in the first place and stops making unforced errors like this, which I agree look silly.

This wasn't an SEC roster and it showed. Add a real PG, and rim protector, and another shooting guard or two. Guards are where it is at in College basketball, and we suck there.
Wait, I thought McMahon’s strong suit was recruiting. Were their assessment of players wrong or did they not develop them properly? Please provide your detailed answer. Thanks!

The constant negativity and bitching about McMahon with lame nicknames is not entertaining in the slightest.

I hope the whole fricking team leaves on McFraud.. frick that dude…more NIL money my arse, you have to be able to coach in the SEC 1st something this POS knows nothing about…

I actually liked chest, I don't think he's a stud or anything but he actually could become a good rebounder.
The transfer doesn't shock me though he's not a CMM type player.

This is all the detail you need: Money
I don't care what you are selling these days, in recruiting. The only thing that matters is, Money money money.........money.
It appears LSU will open up the checkbook this offseason. They did not last year and it showed. If they legit provide what they say towards NIL, then there will be no excuses. Until then, I don't care who you have coaching, if you don't have the Jimmy's and Joe's you aren't winning in the SEC. There are 7 teams in the sweet 16 from the league....and a couple others had close losses. This ain't the SEC from 5 years ago.

They paid Dji Bailey $450k. There was money paid but the dumbass coach doesn't have the ability or skill to build a roster or coach them once they get here.

Dji Bailey was a 5th year senior. If he still needed to be taught basic basketball at that age, it's never going to happen and certainly not in one offseason.
This team just never gelled together for whatever reason. Could be coaching, could be roster construction, could be a lack of player leadership.

ahhh, so you are saying MM has never put together a good team nor won an NCAA Trny game.
LOL at you thinking they paid a player so that's good enough. It was proven that they are at the bottom of NIL in the SEC, so just stop please. These days people are paying for the entire roster. It is what it is. Either do it, and compete, or wave the white flag.

It was talent. I'm not sure how a school like LSU can bring in top level talent without spending. You can't spend at the bottom of the SEC and expect to compete. There were a few good players on the team. You need several.

This hasn't been "proven." A narrative has been pushed by the media, but there is no legitimate data out there on this.

Please present to the class where this was “proven”.

That’s true though. You can’t expect him to make it to the tourney next year with a whole new roster.
He will go grab a bunch of senior transfers and then have another new roster the next year too. Excuse never ends

I hope McMahon is as confident in his abilities as you seem to be. In reality, he has to be aware of the criticism. He has to be embarrassed. He didn’t come here expecting to be a bottom dweller. He has to feel his seat getting super hot, especially with his poor performance juxtaposed with Wade who became a national feel good story. I think we’re stuck with McMahon and I hope he figures it out and shows he can be elite too. Currently, he looks lost to me and I believe any rational person would never chose to be in his current emotional state which I bet is filled with self doubt. Money might be a factor, but there’s no way Wade ior a different capable coach doesn’t take the program where it’s been past few years and do much better than what we’ve witnessed. I’m embarrassed for McMahon as I’m sure he is too. Here’s to him turning. I’m sure tune around here would be very different if he rips through 3 consecutive tournament appearances and can win a game or two in the big dance.
