People have figured out their won't be many trashcans and just bring their own bags to fill and leave close. That's usually the easiest option and it basically solves the problem.

seasoned tailgaters bring their own bags but really it SHOULDNT be their responsibility to do so. If you are going to put on a bigtime college football game its your duty to be prepared. that's like going to the bathroom and it being your fault if there is no toilet paper.

Ya, we spend over $100/yr on trash bags alone. Those heavy-duty ones from Home Depot are pricey but do the trick.

I'm just tired of the argument "They didn't have enough trash cans so we just left our shite everywhere". Buy some large garbage bags and call it a day.

I've been to dozens of LSU football games at minimum and the place is always trashed after

Louisiana has a miserable culture of littering the shite out of everything.

LSU football - check
Half the city of New Orleans - check
Go to rural areas down the bayou - check

Litter fricking everywhere. It's a disgrace and it's cultural. I'm not sure if there is a state that has a more embarrassing littering culture than LA.

We parked in a Rangers lot and passed this very spot after the game. Yeah, it's a bummer but on the long walk from Jerryworld the car this was the only messed up area we saw. Not that bad for 60k+ thirsty Tigers.

Everyone tailgating in our area bagged their trash and put it next to cans on the corner - Some Ranger fans even used our bags for their trash. But it only takes a few idiots plus a passerby with a cell phone camera to fuel negative narratives about our fanbase.

LOL at you for thinking he is a Montana Fan. You probably think I'm a Baylor fan too.

Oh an this isnt surprising, LSU fans may be the nastiest tailgaters of all time.

So how do you explain the rest of the state being a littered mess?

For a "cowboy classic" it is poor planning on the venue to not provide the appropriate supplies. Trash cans, security, parking, restrooms, etc should be provided. Pretty standard stuff here.

One thing.. there were not enough trash cans around the parking lots

This was a huge problem. We would have to make a pile of cans, and then take turns carrying them to trash cans. They were very ill prepared for a large tailgate

Pisses me off when people can't clean up after themselves.

Agreed. Honestly I think it's a cultural phenomenon in Louisiana. Not everyone of course, and I'll give some slack to drunken college kids, but there is so much litter and disregard for picking up after yourself compared anywhere else I've been for an extended period of time.

It's disgusting. Home games are the worst, people that never stepped foot in an LSU classroom lay claim to swaths of land they call "mah spots" and proceed to leave all of their shite on the ground when they leave. As if because they showed up the night before and went to the game, they have a right to be cleaned up after. Pure trash on the worst level.

Kudos to the tailgates that have the class to clean up after themselves.

Damn...if he thinks that's bad, he would be like the crying Indian if he saw UGAs campus after the 2008 South Carolina game.

You can still find pictures of it on google. Terrible...

Georgia Tech campus after a UGA game is pretty awful too.

You could just leave the full garbage bags in the area by your tailgate. It's better than trash everywhere.

This.

Same thing for the Oregon game. We had trash bags full of our trash but no trash cans to put them in. We stacked them all together in a single pile by the street and we still got lit up by the newspaper saying we left trash there (they actually used a photo from our tailgate area). We felt that we cleaned up as much as we could.

I don't recall seeing any articles about the large increase in revenue for the local bars, restaurants and hotels over the weekend as a result of LSU fans in town.
